New Year...Dues/donations accepted! - Goodspeed - 02-10-2009

Hello MM,

So, this being the new year of 2009, I wanted to remind everyone that we are happy to accept any annual dues payments/donations you are willing to give Smile

If you are an alum member, dues are basically the same as donations, as there really isn't a way to keep track of many of you in terms of who has paid and who hasn't. But seriously, we like to ask willing alumni members to contribute $20 dollars for dues, or as much as they would like to!

To give you an idea of where your donation would end up, we really need all the funding we can for karting, the car show, and the ordering of basic club apparel and goods like t-shirts and stickers. We also instituted a program whereby the club will pay for your first autocross ever, given that you are MM member. This was very successful in the past and got us some great people who are very involved in the club.

Thanks Peter! Without donations like yours we wouldn't be able to do most of the events we do as a club. Much appreciated.

Dues are paid annually. We ask current students to pay by academic year (August-August), but I think it makes more sense to ask alumns to pay dues/donate by calendar year (January-January).

That way, student funding ensures we are doing well money-wise from August-December, and alum donations help out from Jan-May, with no real spending over the summer months.
