FS: Dell Inspiron 9300 Laptop - JohnC - 02-01-2009

Specs:

Pentium M 1.6 GHz
17" WXGA+ display (1440x900)
1.25 GB RAM
60 GB hard drive
128MB ATI Mobility Radeon X300
24x CD-RW/DVD-ROM
802.11 A/B/G
Windows XP Home, SP2 (wiped and reset)

This was Jess' laptop for the last 4 years, and it served her well. Everything works fine, with the exception of the battery. It is nearing the end of it's useful life, and can only power the laptop for 45 minutes to an hour before needing to be recharged. There are some minor cosmetic flaws that can be seen in the photos. The laptop will be shipped in the original Dell packaging.

I'll do $285 shipped to a paid MM member. That price is firm. Any questions, PM me or send an email to john.chapin@gmail.com.

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on this. I'm still using the laptop I bought from you a few years ago and it's running strong... it would be nice to have a backup / dedicated work computer though.

- JohnC - 02-02-2009

It would be great as a light-duty desktop, as long as you can keep it plugged in.

- WRXtranceformed - 02-02-2009

How hard is it to replace the battery in that model? I don't see a spot where it plugs in like this one has.

The battery is on the bottom left corner in the last pic - it slides right out. You can probably get another one on ebay for $50-60.

Sweet thanks... I'll keep in touch!

Yeah, definitely.

eBay fees have yet to violate me in a way I would consider unpleasant.

Did you get it sold yet?

Actually, no. A series of unfortunate events (none involving this laptop) conspired to keep it off of eBay for a couple of weeks so Jess could use it a little longer.

That being said, her MacBook has recovered from the Great Ginger Ale Incident of 2009, so this is definitely for sale (at the same price listed above).

John, I might be able to use this here at the dealership. I'll ask my uncle if it will serve the purpose on Monday.
