Dude's fortune drops from 12+billion to 9+billion and he commits suicide?? How many people out there right now are just trying to put food on their table and this guy stresses that some of his companies are sucking dick. Guy was 74 anyway, get over yourself, dump a few or all of your companies and enjoy your last few years on Earth knowing you've financially set up your entire family and their families in the future for life.

at least he went out with a Woooooooo Wooooooooooo

I wonder how much he financially fucked his family by doing that, relatively speaking.

In the US his family wouldn't get any insurance money since he offed himself (most policies don't cover suicide, I don't think) and since now everything would be transferred via will they'd get nailed with death taxes.

Maybe the guy was stressed out about what selling off/dismantling his companies would do to his employees? I dunno...maybe some CEO's have a heart. Anyways, with guys like these, they're so jaded its not about the money anymore after the first billion or so. I think it psychologically becomes more about the competition and the image. Its obvious this guy had issues...worrying about money was the last of his problems.

Naive Goodspeed is naive.

Some life insurance policies will cover suicide after a waiting period of 2 years, but you're right most don't.
