H & B'd V.2.0 - Goodspeed - 01-06-2009 So with each new post to the fabled H&B'd thread above this, I'm always left wondering, would that person actually buy that car, if they could? I've always been interested in car collections and the people that make them, wondering why they chose to buy the cars they did and for what purpose. So, here's the scenario. You just won the jackpot, or robbed a bank, orsome senile rich lady gave you a billion dollars. Ten is a boring number, any less and you're only medium-ballin'. You have a 12 car garage to fill, so what would you get, and why? I'll start: 1. Ford GT - I always feel like a little kid at space camp when I see one of these. Must buy. ![]() 2. MKIV Toyota Supra - my all time favorite attainable dream car. Naturally, then. ![]() 3. Ferrari F50 - my all time favorite unattainable dream car. I'd have to fix that right quick. ![]() 4. Ariel Atom - track car. ![]() 5. Porsche Carrera GT - Love the tech, love the design (best looking supercar of recent times). Give it some straight pipes for the sound. ![]() 6. Maserati Granturismo S - daily beater/sounds so good I can't stand up for a while. ![]() 7. Acura NSX - "The thinking man's supercar". Love it. ![]() 8. Shelby Cobra (Replica) - Big block, six speed, lightweight, gone. ![]() 9. Marcos TSO GTC - 'Vette powered, bespoke British coolness. ![]() 10. Ferrari 250GT SWB California - Probably the most beautiful thing ever crafted by the hands of man. ![]() 11. Porsche 993 - Set to 'Kill.' ![]() 12. Chevrolet C6 Z06 - Good ol' Red, White, and Blue. Yes, I'd take one of these over a GT-R any day of the week.
- Apoc - 01-06-2009 997 GT3, '59 Corvette and an ECO-Star helicopter. Maybe add another mint-condition Miata to the list. Taurus SHO? I'd rock a more modern-day TurboVan (think 90s-era). I'd also want a late 80s Chrysler/Dodge, just to have the digital dash that talked at me. - Dave - 01-06-2009 240z... oh wait, already have that :-) restored Datsun 510 FD RX-7 R1 in montego blue w/ a single turbo for reliability  Porsche 997 GT3RS E39 M5 or 540i (i'm not picky) E30/E36/E46/E92 M3 MR2 Turbo Lotus Esprit (TT V8 makes me giddy) Aston Martin DB5 Aston Martin DBS V12 Ferrari F40 International Harvester Scout, restored and modded for 4-wheeling Noble M12 TVR Sagaris - Ryan T - 01-06-2009 2009 Corvette ZR1 - It's a Corvette, duh ![]() Hummer H1 - My friend hauler/snow car ![]() Dodge Ram 3500 quad cab 4x4 non-dually - Tow vehicle. ![]() 1998 Toyota Supra TT - Awesome ![]() Porsche Carrera GT - One of the most awesome sports cars ever ![]() Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG - Cruiser with my friends ![]() 1966 Corvette Stingray - Undying Classic ![]() 1957 Corvette - First-gen corvette, always been a dream of mine ![]() Ferrari F430 - looks amazing ![]() Pagani Zonda - looks amazing ![]() Some sort of open top 1930s Ford - Always loved them ![]() Ford F100 - Ballin old truck

- ScottyB - 01-07-2009 1. F40. arguably the poster-above-your-bed car when i was growing up. to me it is the only modern fuel injected car Ferrari got 100% right and it is exactly what i dream of as an Italian thoroughbred unleashed on the street. i would thash it mightily. ![]() 2. '69 General Lee. it is truly the redneck, pabst-swilling, blue collar badassmobile of America and i respect that. this was the only car i cared about from age 3-7. ![]() 3. E-type series I. i'd just sit it in the garage and stare at it. a masterpeice, and the unbelievable complexity just adds to the charm as a display of engineering wonder. ![]() 4. Carrera GT. i think as an all around supercar its pretty amazing and i can't get over how incredible it sounds. when i saw the top gear review it haunted me for months. ![]() 5. my favorite workhorse machine, the Typhoon. i think they look great and the completely innapropriate speed they have is just awesome. i always thought white looked cooler than the usual black. ![]() 6. the UR Quattro. this is a strange attainable super-classic for me. they are so unique and can be so fast, and the engine note sets my pants on fire. it looks butch with those 80's box fender flares too! ![]() 7. OG GT40, gulf livery. incredible in every way. i want to drive one down the pacific coast and hit every track on the way. ![]() 8. 240Z. i wouldn't mind one with some work done to it. i think it's probably the greatest car to come from Japan in terms of the breed. sounds awesome, looks awesome, light and fun. ![]() 9. The Hammer. like a thug in a tux. this would be my everyday ride and i hugely admire all mercedes from this era but this model takes the cake. ![]() 10. 02 M-coupe. the last great BMW tourer IMO. i've wanted one since the second i saw one when they came out. the fender flares are so mean and i love that they left the chassis pretty raw and oversteery. ![]() 11. Cobra replica. yeah, pretty tame but i think they're super cool and pretty much my favorite roadster. perfect for fall days on the parkway. ![]() 12. Zonda. so wild and fast and the details are pretty amazing. probably my favorite modern supercar. ![]() honorable mention/hide behind the servant quarters under a tarp: GNX Fiat Abarth 600 Lotus Elise Lamborghini Diablo SV - Steve85 - 01-07-2009 Just cuz I'd have to have it. Don't like the body kit but if it works at 255mph who am I to argue ![]() ![]() I would do one of the new kits they have with all modern suspension and drivetrain and drive it everyday I could ![]() Not my exact vision, but if I need something that fits 4 kids and two dogs it won't be a Caravan. Full modern interior with power sliding doors and Porsche power Big block, side pipes, convertible, weekender. ![]() And for jizzing in the pants. Truth is I'd probably have 4-5 of these from the 50's 60's era. ![]() I'm sure there are others but I doubt there would be many exotics in the collection. I would probably rotate a couple in and out with either an F40 / F50 staying. Oh yeah, need a Bonneville car
