Jay Ray's Top Ten - Sijray21 - 12-22-2008 Hello Everyone, I thought i'd make a separate post to entertain everyone on the Monday before the Holidays. I woke up after a weird dream. My dream that 6 people separately breaking into my car trying to steal my back seats and i caught each one of them. I woke up and started my way home. As i was walking up to my car I notice that my windows were really *clear*. Trying to think of when i washed the car last took a while so i went in closer for a look. Well the windows were missing and i looked closer...leather seats...hmmm. A black integra (of the same model year) with the same wheels and spoiler, what are the odds? This wasn't my car and i felt a bit relieved. Then i thought...where is my car? In fact i was actually standing in the parking space where i parked my car the previous night - a visitor spot in my girlfriends' apartment complex in Bethesda, MD. Immediately i thought, "shit they must've towed me by mistake" so i call the towing company and apparently they didn't tow that complex last night. Realization set-in and i called the police and insurance and walked my frigid ass to the metro to go home. So lets recap my years with thefts and break-ins with my Honda and Acura the past few years: #1 - 1999 Honda Civic (Neighborhood - Alexandria, VA): Hood popped open and battery disconnected, nothing stolen #2 - 1999 Honda Civic (Springfield Metro Garage): Radio, Amp, Subs, CDs, tools, misc stolen #3 - 1999 Honda Civic (Springfield Mall Garage): Stolen and recovered, spending weeks in the shop to get every damaged piece replaced and repaired *purchased Integra* #4 - 1998 Acura Integra (Neighborhood - Alexandria, VA): Attempted theft, spent 3 weeks at the shop (incident happened 2 weeks after i bought the Integra) #5 - 1999 Honda Civic (Neighborhood - Alexandria, VA): Wheels stolen, left on bricks and jack stands, no damage and i had an extra set of wheels *sold Honda Civic* - the remaining incidents were with the Integra #6 - (Hotel - Wilmington, DE): Radio, no other damage (t'was a quiet ride home since i drove here for work) #7 - (Arlington, VA): Quarters stolen, no damage and nothing else stolen, but whoever did it pissed in the seat (yes...) and this seat was promptly sold to RJ #8 - (Falls Church, VA): Phone and Gift Certificate stolen, no damage. i recovered the phone from a 'donation' to a gas station #9 - (Bethesda, MD): Radio, GPS, CDs, phone charger, and change stolen #10 - (Bethesda, MD): Car stolen with a few christmas gifts in the trunk Not surprised at all, it was inevitable. Here is she as i last saw her: ![]() ![]() In case you do see it, just report it to the police. Don't tell me, i don't want this thing back. Merry Christmas  Exterior Noticables: 98 Integra RS (rare considering this was first year for this model and it was the last year for the RS) with no sunroof and a Shark-II stubby antenna. Has a Hidden Hitch, GS-R blades on Kumho ASXs, and black interior. - WRXtranceformed - 12-22-2008 Damn dude you have the worst luck! - navin - 12-22-2008 Honda's... fucking ey. Run away Jay, run away. I hope you pick something up that you can track though, miss seeing you out there man! - Dave - 12-22-2008 jeez Jayray. There really aren't any words that can be said that haven't been said before... :-) - Kaan - 12-22-2008 Step One: reread all 9 pages of http://www.mmsports.org/forum/viewtopic ... &start=160 Step Two: move back to Oakton where your shit doesnt get jacked Step Three: Glock sticker + Kills switch - Jeff - 12-22-2008 Damn...that sucks man. I can sell some Mopar, no one will steal it  - Evan - 12-22-2008 wtf.... at least now you can buy a track car with right wheel drive
- ViPER1313 - 12-22-2008 Sorry man - you really do have the worst luck when it comes to this kind of thing. I hope it was well insured. My advise - don't buy another hotly stolen car or invest in a lojack. I'm really surprised you have had so many radios stolen - I thought that trend died 10 years ago when head units started to become so cheap. Re: Jay Ray's Top Ten - ScottyB - 12-22-2008 Jay i don't know what to say. i can't believe your luck sometimes (well, not that it's lucky). you have some weird german strain in your blood, go buy an E30 or another MkII. Sijray21 Wrote:but whoever did it pissed in the seat (yes...) and this seat was promptly sold to RJ. - .RJ - 12-22-2008 Damn, you never told me about the piss stain  I bet that R32 is still for sale
- PDenbigh - 12-22-2008 Damn man! That's unbelievable. I bet Insurance companies have your caller ID blocked! Sorry to hear that man. If you need some temporary transportation hit me up. It's not worth steeling so I feel comfortable loaning it to you ;-). Peter - Mike - 12-22-2008 nutso. i have an integra for cheap! guarantee it'll never be stolen! - Sijray21 - 12-22-2008 sadly it gets worse. the insurance agent notified me that the title they have records for is deeming it salvaged from a theft in 1999. which is not what the carfax report said, nor my title, when i bought the car , but low and behold, when i check it now it's saying it is salvaged and could be a victim of title washing.... thankfully i still have my truck to transport myself, but i have an option for a rental car - Sijray21 - 12-22-2008 Kaan Wrote:Step One: reread all 9 pages of step 1: done step 3: i have a S&W 9mm that i just learned to clean. next will be the range with a class and/or with one of you all

- Goodspeed - 12-22-2008 Sorry to hear that JRay...how ironic that a very similar car would park in the same spot, almost like a tease GL with the authorities and insurance, and you should get yourself a nice Aztek for shady parking garages and the hood.
- Feersty - 12-22-2008 Damnit Jay. I feel so bad about that. That car sure looked good. Good luck with everything. - ScottyB - 12-22-2008 Sijray21 Wrote:which is not what the carfax report said, nor my title, when i bought the car , but low and behold, when i check it now it's saying it is salvaged and could be a victim of title washing.... whaaaaaaattt..... i'm really sorry i can't be up there to buy you a beer. this is ridiculous. - D_Eclipse9916 - 12-23-2008 If you do get a honda, take your an old cell phone with a good battery and a car charger, hard wire it behind the dash so it always charges the battery. Copy down the number behind the battery. When it gets stolen, even if they cut the battery, your cell phone will have probably 2-3 days life left in it. Call the police and cell phone carrier, they will be able to track where the cell phone is by satellite and hopefully get your car (aka in rockville lol) Sucks to hear man, but if I had a honda thats what I would do. Ive got a kill switch on my pump as I already ran 8 gauge with a relay straight to my pump, so the 12-volt low amp turn on wire is what I used for my kill switch. Ive got this paired with a good 2-way pager alarm system with optional sensors (what reglar people call motion sensor, and then a REAL motion sensor, maybe works off radar dont know?). Cross my fingers its good enough for my car considering its a dsm not a honda. - Mike - 12-23-2008 Sijray21 Wrote:sadly it gets worse. the insurance agent notified me that the title they have records for is deeming it salvaged from a theft in 1999. which is not what the carfax report said, nor my title, when i bought the car , but low and behold, when i check it now it's saying it is salvaged and could be a victim of title washing.... ummm shouldn't your insurance company have notified you of that long ago? you've been paying insurance on it as if it were any old car... they owe you. |
