Need MM expert deal finders - DierwulfBL - 12-02-2008 you guys always seem to know where the best deals on computer related things are so i figured id post up to see what you guys think. I'm trying to buy a photo printer for fairly cheap (150$ or less). I have no idea what to look for or what is good. Point me in the right direction!! Thanks in advance. requirements: -under 150 dollars -print photos from digital pics -doesnt need to be stand alone, itll be hooked to a computer -also lemme know if 150 is too low for any decent quality -links are always good - Evan - 12-02-2008 its much more economical to just use a service like snapfish, but if you really want a photo printer <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=206928373">http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=206928373</a><!-- m --> 5% off coupon <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.buy.com/retail/coupon.asp?prid=84773074">http://www.buy.com/retail/coupon.asp?prid=84773074</a><!-- m --> or for cheaper but not as good <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Office-Inkjet-Printer-2182B002/dp/B000VDRO7S/">http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Office-Inkj ... 000VDRO7S/</a><!-- m --> - Steve85 - 12-02-2008 [quote="Evan"]its much more economical to just use a service like snapfish, FWIW..We did our Christmas cards through Snapfish. Ordered them at 10am and picked them up at Walgreens at 4pm. I think it was 75 - 100 photocards for $33. I don't think local pick-up was an option last year and we'll probably use Snapfish a lot more now. - DierwulfBL - 12-02-2008 for anyone thats been to JohnCs house in fluvanna county (this is where i live) you'll know that those services arent as great in the boondocks. 2-3 gallons of gas to get to charlottesville and back . This is why i need to go this route, thanks for the info tho. So canon tends to make the best ones eh? Good info so far thanks.

They were all free after rebate with the purchase of a new Mac, so retail is about $99. Epson is a big name too, but I found that if you don't print often, the heads tend to clog, big time. Unfortunately, the heads are built into the ink tanks on Epson printers, so you have to toss the ink which can get expensive. Canon has a separate print head - so far none of ours have clogged, but it's nice to know that it's an easy-to-replace thing. FWIW, the newest we have is Dad's iP4500. Not an actual "photo" printer but it does a great job. I'd assume the higher-quality photo-labeled stuff would be even better. - Evan - 12-02-2008 DierwulfBL Wrote:for anyone thats been to JohnCs house in fluvanna county (this is where i live) you'll know that those services arent as great in the boondocks. 2-3 gallons of gas to get to charlottesville and backsnapfish etc is through the mail |
