'07 F150, Extended Cab, Short Bed, Lariat, 5.4 (~365 lb-ft!) truck. Then, Alison and I promptly drove it 200 miles through snow, ice, curves, and mountains, thus why it's a little dirty in the pictures.

Pros:
It'll take me a little while to get used to it and be able to drive it like the tan one, but it really is a nice truck. It has a firm, responsive ride, the steering resistance is perfect, it hauls ass up the mountains, and it stops well too. Automatic climate control is sweet, steering wheel controls are an unnecessary but fun feature, integrated sat radio eliminates a gadget from the dash, and the power seats fit well.
3.73 rear end, big V-8, trans and oil coolers = tow much better than my other truck.

Cons:
I'm not a fan of the 20" wheels just because tires are expensive and limited.
The PO ordered it without the limited slip rear end. It needs LS. That's a big bummer. 3.73's, 365lb-ft torque = tire smoking machine.
Also, the PO ordered it without the sliding rear glass. Bummer #2.
Drive-by-wire is a little different in terms of throttle response. No necessarily a con, but a "Get use to it" thing.

It's no secret I'm a Ford guy. I think they really have the best truck out there. A drive in this thing across snowy, twisty WV roads just furthers my dedication to the brand.

Looks great! I really like that generation of F-150s. Any plans for the gold one or are you gonna sell it?

- Ole - 12-01-2008

Nice! I like the Ford trucks except the 250-350 4x4 with the solid frt axle. The GM 3500 offers a much nice highway drive. If I didn't have the need for 4x4 I would have bought a 350 dually.

FWIW, I bought a Lincoln in '07 and have had no problems whatsoever. Nice quality, much better than any other car I have owned (even all my BMWs).

I'm going to sell it when I have time. It's been such a good truck I hate to see it go!

Wow, that's good to hear! Hopefully I'll share the same experience!

- D_Eclipse9916 - 12-01-2008

Nice Pete, and I thought you were just talking so much about Ford trucks instead of others because you hated ford...lol.

Damn, thats a pretty ballin truck, lariat too.

You really want a truck that's been driven by me for the past 125000 miles?

I will be honest, ive never been 4 wheels off the ground in a ford f150 before

- Feersty - 12-02-2008

Looks good man. Are those the King Ranch wheels? Or were those optional on that year Lariat?

Were you able to negotiate with the dealership, since times are tough for Ford? how much below sticker did you get it at. I remember on your other truck it has I-77 dealership front plate. Repeat customer I assume?

You could even say his family is responsible for keeping that place in business...

Thanks. Stock wheels on the 07' Lariats.

My Dad is part of the dealership actually, so that probably answers the deal/repeat stuff.

Thanks man. I can't wait to tow with it!

- Goodspeed - 12-03-2008

Congrats Pete, I know you'll break her in right. I'll keep a lookout for a white F-150 in a cloud of tire smoke around the 'burg
