Any Arlington residents interested in softball? - stevegula - 07-22-2008

I'm trying to get an Arlington Fall Co-Ed team together. It's going to be about $40 for Arlington County residents, $70 for others. We need 50% Arlington residents though which is proving to be the tough part.

Anyone who lives in Arlington and may be interested in subbing but not committed to a whole season (and thus can be put on the roster and help with the 50% resident part) is welcome to help out with no money commitment.

We're in a dire spot right now since I have to have everything in by Thursday (the 24th).

We're d-league which means competition probably won't be tough.

any non-arlington residents interested in playing softball in arlington? It'll actually be $60 not $70.

oh so i'll get to play if i want? i may want to come out once or twice. i haven't played ball since high school, but i'd imagine i'll be pretty good for a d-league.

the fall ball league starts up soon and we play about 3/4 games a week - 1 or 2 on the weekends and 1 or 2 during the week

double headers are 7 innings and single games are 9 innings

can you pitch?

i'm not playing softball because i don't have the time for it. i WAS a pitcher... don't think that means i can do anything but throw harder than your average joe nowadays.

Which league is it? I have been playing in a dcmsbl for the last couple years, but looking to maybe switch to a wood bat league. I pitch, play second base, and have been batting around .350. I don't know what kind of pitching you have, but i throw in the high 70s, maybe low 80s on a good day, with a nasty curve.

Sounds like fun... wish I could play Sad
