- Evan - 07-17-2008 on what grounds? - .RJ - 07-17-2008 Evan Wrote:on what grounds? Because everything is his fault, you know this. The oil prices, the economic 'crisis', the housing bust - and its a conspiracy because he's getting rich on all of it. - Apoc - 07-17-2008 Evan Wrote:on what grounds? He thinks English is better. - JackoliciousLegs - 07-17-2008 Oh, give me a break. This has nothing to do with the economy. The war in Iraq was a sham. It has NOTHING to do with the war on terror. There was 0 connection to al qaeda. He keeps shielding his people after they do SUPER illegal things. Rove skipped the country instead of testifying. They outed a CIA op. Illegal wiretaps. Illegal imprisonment of US Citizens. I can continue. - .RJ - 07-17-2008 JackoliciousLegs Wrote:I can continue. Please do. - mrbaggio - 07-17-2008 Apoc Wrote:Evan Wrote:on what grounds? Post of the week award winner!!! - CaptainHenreh - 07-17-2008 Can we get congress to impeach themselves while they're at it? - JackoliciousLegs - 07-17-2008 Downing street memo. Authorizing torture in direct violation of the Geneva Convention. Realistically, partisanship aside, there was a media blitz to convince us to go to war in Iraq. It was misleading at best and criminal at worst. It is now obvious that they had prior knowledge of what they were getting into regarding Iraq's association with terrorists, and their WMDs, or lack thereof. There's a lot of other shit. Torture, imprisonment with no trial, and domestic spying are bad, but not nearly as big or as important as a war. - .RJ - 07-17-2008 JackoliciousLegs Wrote:Downing street memo. Authorizing torture in direct violation of the Geneva Convention So what you're saying is that politicians pander and lie and use the media as a tool for public support and do things they're not supposed to do? No. Fucking. Wai. There was huge public, and political support for going into Iraq *at the time* and while it may not have been the right decision, hindsight is 20/20, and we're already there, and have made good progress in the past year, and we should finish what we started. At least the prez isnt using his intern's nappy dugout as a humidor. hrug:All politicians suck. Even Obama (and yes, he is true politician, not some angel of change sent down to save us all from ourselves). http://www.edmontonsun.com/News/Canada/ ... 6-sun.html Oh well. What are you going to do. - JackoliciousLegs - 07-17-2008 You don't think there is one impeachable offense in there? For real? Torture? Spying? No? Sounds to me like the dems are spineless. - .RJ - 07-17-2008 JackoliciousLegs Wrote:Sounds to me like the dems are spineless. Now thats something we can agree on. I vote we impeach Jeff. He locked a thread. - JackoliciousLegs - 07-17-2008 .RJ Wrote:At least the prez isnt using his intern's nappy dugout as a humidor. If you think that's as bad as a fabricated war, I can't say much else. - Apoc - 07-17-2008 .RJ Wrote:At least the prez isnt using his intern's nappy dugout as a humidor. If you foster a record budget surplus, you deserve to put a cigar wherever you want. - G.Irish - 07-17-2008 JackoliciousLegs Wrote:You don't think there is one impeachable offense in there? For real? If the roles were reversed the Republicans wouldn't have hesitated to impeach the president for being caught fapping. - Evan - 07-17-2008 The Republicans didnt impeach Clinton for going to war in the Balkans without congressional approval and lying about the justification for it, so the inverse justification certainly doesnt apply - Evan - 07-17-2008 ok, lets set the record straight http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iE21 ... QD91UJD6O1 It is NOT an impeachment like nutjob Kucinich wanted, its a "Review" (possibly televised) Which means: The Democrats want to play the "Smear Bush" game some more in an election year to further baselessly bash the republican part to try to get more dems elected in the fall. Slimy policital move. - JackoliciousLegs - 07-17-2008 Evan Wrote:The Republicans didnt impeach Clinton for going to war in the Balkans without congressional approval and lying about the justification for it, so the inverse justification certainly doesnt applyGood point... kinda. Duration of that one was 77 days and only 7,000 troops were deployed. Only 2 died. 4100 Americans dead in Iraq... and counting. - JackoliciousLegs - 07-17-2008 Evan Wrote:The Democrats want to play the "Smear Bush" gameIt's not getting ANY media coverage. That's the only real fucking article out on this shit. It's all bloggers covering it. The democratic leadership said impeachment is off the table... those spineless bastehds. |
