Censorship on the internet..... - Ole - 07-17-2008

Can I get "banned" already? Big Grin J/K

I had 1 final post and WHAM the topic was closed. I think for the most part it was a good discourse. Can we not have differences of opinions?

- BLINGMW - 07-17-2008

yeah, I'm kind of surprised people would complain about that thread.... oh well. :dunno:

Let's talk about puppies. I'm for 'em.

- Ole - 07-17-2008

Against. Too many dogs in lockdown at the pound. A large drain on our tax dollars.

- CaptainHenreh - 07-17-2008

Hey olson, that reminds me.

I heard a rumor that some of the SCCA guys were sweet on you and you were going to try to talk them into letting us use their scales in the tech shed?

Is that true?

Because that'd be really fucking awesome.

Thats just because the goverment is Canineist and oppresses the canine community.

Sweet on me?

I don't have many connections in the tech shed, mainly because I am rarely there......

Dont you have to be one of the fast guys to go to the tech shed after the race?

- Ole - 07-17-2008

precisely

- CaptainHenreh - 07-17-2008

well, it's not the dudes *in* the tech shed that aren't letting us use the scales.

It's the bigwigs.

- Evan - 07-17-2008

more importantly, you have to finish the race

- Ole - 07-17-2008

pm me

WDCR SCCA road racing sucks.

There, I said it. We can all feel better now.

- Ole - 07-17-2008

I disagree. The depth of competition is much greater at SCCA events, but NASA is catching up. This year the schedule sucked and the people responsible have heard and seen the displeasure. Road Racing is all there is on an SCCA Race weekend. We do not share track time HPDE etc and we get more "quality" track time. There is much more down time which is a negative and NASA has an advantage there but I prefer the longer sessions at SCCA vs. NASA.

Each has positives and negatives but neither suck.

- mrbaggio - 07-17-2008

How is a tread a waste of time? The readers are wasting time be reading. Simple solution. Don't fucking read it. Allowing a dote to rattle on is entertaining. The lock was bullshit.

NASA has far more positives for someone in the DC area. The biggest sticking point is that the DC SCCA is not a very 'welcoming' organization (I'm not talking about the racers) when it comes to road racing.

But thats just my $.02

I have a hard time believing a discussion about the validity of language-centric beliefs are disruptive. Perhaps OT to the original topic but a good debate nonetheless and if anything, should have been moved to a new topic.

The validity of bestiality laws is better because it has its own topic?

The rules are clear and the lock was within the guidelines. I got multiple complaints about the thread so I took the appropriate action. If this thread turns into huge rants about how MM is moderated I'll lock it as well. We have been through this time and again.

The point is not the topic. Its Deersty vs. everyone else and it just goes back and forth and nothing comes of it. Splitting it off would have been another option, but we could just start a thread called "Argue to no end with Deersty" and it would be the same thing.
