Amsoil anyone? - WRXtranceformed - 06-15-2008 Would anyone be interested in Amsoil stuff if I became a dealer or preferred customer? I've been wanting to try the stuff again since the first time it went into my old STi and it would be nice to get a wholesale price on it. What say ye? Does anyone here have access to Amsoil stuff? I'd hook MMer's up at my cost if I go through with it.
- D_Eclipse9916 - 06-17-2008 I would be interested, but what is the amsoil "wholesale" price,I already get a pretty ridiculous deal. - WRXtranceformed - 06-17-2008 No clue, it depends on what you get. Their website says 20-25% off retail. Is that about what you're looking at? - D_Eclipse9916 - 06-18-2008 I get better than that. Ill stick with my redline fluid. - WRXtranceformed - 06-18-2008 Mmkay! - WRXtranceformed - 07-20-2008 Just became a preferred customer and am going to send in the application to upgrade to dealer. If you guys need any AMSOIL products or Mother's car wash stuff, let me know!
- BLINGMW - 11-11-2008 so... how much for some 10W-40 motorcycle oil? Their regular 10W-40 might be fine too, I dunno. - Ryan T - 11-11-2008 5w-30 synthetic, price? - D_Eclipse9916 - 11-12-2008 15w-40 or 20w50 synthetic price? - Kaan - 11-12-2008 Ryan T Wrote:5w-30 synthetic, price? +1 - WRXtranceformed - 11-12-2008 I just saw the bump, I'm headed out for golf but I'll post up the MM price when I get home tonight. In the meantime those who are interested, PM me with your address you would want them shipped to so I can get the most accurate shipped quote. - WRXtranceformed - 11-13-2008 Alright this is at my dealer cost plus shipping and taxes for MM'ers. If any of you guys want to order something and want to pay through Paypal, just add the 3% onto it. I used Kaan's address in Oakton just as an example... the shipped price anywhere else in VA is probably similar. All prices are by the gallon... if you want individual quarts I can do it but it almost doesn't make sense with freight charges. If you want a gallon + quarts I can get numbers on that too. EDIT: Please PM me for pricing. I made a mistake on one of these and I don't want it to happen again. - WRXtranceformed - 11-13-2008 Don't forget I can get Injen / Amsoil intakes for most trucks / SUVs and the newer S197 V6 and V8 Mustangs. They are expensive but Injen makes some of the best intakes out there and the Amsoil Ea air filter they come with is arguably the best aftermarket air intake available. - D_Eclipse9916 - 11-13-2008 If anyone is picking up oil from him, I will be going down there during december 24/28th in charllotte so maybe we can arrange pick up? - 95-GT0-MR - 11-14-2008 Can you get Injen/Amsoil intakes for cars? I was thinking about getting one for my car. - WRXtranceformed - 11-14-2008 95-GT0-MR Wrote:Can you get Injen/Amsoil intakes for cars? I was thinking about getting one for my car. I was about to say no, until I rechecked the site... apparently they've got a ton of applications now. Let me know the year, make, model and engine of your car if you're interested guys and I'll give you the shipped price. - BLINGMW - 11-24-2008 you actually know much about these oils? What's the difference between the regular 10-40, which says is ok for motos too: ![]() and the 10-40XL? ![]() and with the extra claims the XL makes.... why is it cheaper? - WRXtranceformed - 11-24-2008 Typically the XL products are designed to last to even longer intervals but the standard oils are formulated for higher stress applications... racing, high strung engines, etc. I personally go with the best oil that I can afford and go by the oil change interval on my MID. I'll be sending off a sample when the mid tells me to make the change to find out how accurate it is with Amsoil. You can look up both of those oils on Amsoil's site though and it should give you the details. Personally, I would go with a dedicated motorcycle oil for your bike. I just sold 4 gallons of 20w50 motorcycle oil to a local guy with a Harley, he swears by the stuff. - BLINGMW - 11-24-2008 Thanks for the info, their site has a lot of technical stuff... but not much in the way of application or comparison. WRXtranceformed Wrote:Personally, I would go with a dedicated motorcycle oil for your bike.I THINK I'm going to try the non-moto specific 10-40 as most people just run dino oil in the GS. Any synthetic as long as it doesn't have friction modifiers (which it doesn't) is said to be ok and likely overkill for a 20 yr old, air-cooled, relatively low revving engine. Amsoil's site says it's ok too, it's cheaper, and I'm a cheapskate. PM sent - Evan - 11-24-2008 ok, ill be switching the truck over to syn here soon, so what are my options in 5w-30 oils? |
