Project: Run Forever Beater Truck! - Ginger - 03-29-2008 In late December of 2007, my Accord breathed it's last breath. In early January of 2008, the forecast called for snow and ice. I bought a truck. 1994 Toyota T100, AKA: the painter's truck. It's a 5spd, 2wd, has 182K on the clock, and is about as plain as you can get. I only paid $1,600 for it... the guy sold it the day his wife put it up on Craig's List (talk about a weird phone call: "my phone's been ringing off the hook, can I help you? Oh, the truck... my wife must have listed it." I thought I called in the middle of a nasty divorce, or something). I was just lucky enough to snag it up. I may sell it now that winter's over, I could probably make a few hundred on it, but we'll see. The shifter was awful, so I put in some Marlin Crawler shifter bushings, changed the oil, gear oil, put in a new air filter, and filled the washer fluid reservoir up with the RainX shit (it's AWESOME). On with the pics! (oh yeah) And the best part: And I don't plan on fixing it. - WRXtranceformed - 03-29-2008 That thing will get another 100k out of it easy. I loved every Toyota truck I ever owned. - ScottyB - 03-29-2008 thats a beater all right....for 1600 i'd say you did well - Ginger - 03-30-2008 So, uhm, sold. - Maengelito - 03-30-2008 wtf? - Ginger - 03-30-2008 Yeah.. you know. Yeah. And before I forget: - Mike - 03-31-2008 :?: |
