Read that, and stay hydrated. If you start to feel symptoms of heat exhaustion, then stop driving, come off your worker station and get to the EMS. Its not going to get any cooler till september.

hydration is no joke.
I drink constantly at the track. I usually go through at least 128 - 150 oz of gatorade or gatorade and water a day.

- Feersty - 07-18-2004

You definitely need a level head if you are taking your car on track, more so then in regular driving.

- ScottyB - 07-18-2004

yeah ill def. have to make sure i hydrate myself better at upcoming events. i have a history of getting heat stroke and it usually happens at the worst possible times. good post RJ

She probably would have been comforting you if she knew you were hot and she wasnt shopping the whole weekend.

Damn you guys.

[serious] :?: [/serious]

i'm curious as to your thought path/logic/comments...

- Feersty - 07-20-2004

Jessica never comes to the track so it would have been rare if she was there, to help him get through the heat exhaustion he was experiencing.

Cold washcloths help with heat exhaustion.

1+1=2.

Is it really that hard to understand?

- Feersty - 07-21-2004

That is what I thought you would be doing. I can never get by without you questioning the legitimacy of my statements.

- Mike - 07-21-2004

We do not question the legitimacy, rather the thought behind them.

Great article! Down at the bottom of the forum, they had a link to this site, which has some really specific information on exactly what happens during heat-related illness and what to do to prevent and/or fix it.

Everyone please be careful!

On a side note- can we possibly make this thread a sticky (at least for the summer), so that EVERYONE reads it? I think this is really important with all of the outside summer activities that motorsports participation entails.
