Feels good to be back on two-wheels - Sijray21 - 02-08-2008

Just thought i'd post up the newest addition to the motorcycle MM family.

Picked her up today and i couldn't be happier with the purchase! :-D

She's a georgeous 2004 SV 650s with factory plastics. The previous owner took incredible care of her and is moving on to a more touring oriented motorcycle. She has about 9.5k miles and everything is stock except for the tires (Pilot Powers) and the tank protector. I even got a camera gas-tank mount.

I already love the way the little v-twin sounds and how much torque is available. The high-end is hurting in power compared to the RR, but i can't really use it on the street safely anyway. The insurance policy cost is also pretty nice compared to the RR.

Anyway, here are some pictures - just thought i'd share Big Grin

and of course the obligatory RJ love penis money-shot:

Congrats, I really like the look of the SV...I considered buying one for my first bike but went with the GS500 instead, a little less power probably a little safer for a newbie. Maybe in a year or too i'll upgrade.

i actually started on a GS500e and i loved it. definitely a great starter bike - gave me a lot of confidence b/c if i made the same mistakes i did when i owned that on my past RR or this bike i probably would've gone down hard

The RJ money pics really are classic. Someone should collect them all and post them.

You think it sounds nice now, wait 'til you put a Yosh pipe on that thing.

Nice color Smile. Hopefully you don't see any dogs in the near future.

JRay the bike looks great with the lower fairing. Very nice. I am actually looking into something similar at the moment, I might shoot you some questions if you don't mind.

- Sijray21 - 02-19-2008

let the questions fly -- i know RJ and Deracola can probably answer them as well
