Windshield scratch fix - HAULN-SS - 01-14-2008
Hey, so I fucked up this morning and scratched my windshield while getting the ice off of it. Anyone have a scratch repair kit I can borrow? Even better if you've used it and know how to do it. It's not deep - I can't catch the scratches iwth my fingernail - its just annoying and hopefully easily fixed?

A non-plastic scraper...didn't work out so well.

does that stuff work on scratches caused by wiper blades? some idiot who own my car before me must have never changed the blades and i have lines all across the windshield

The kit I saw online said it works for scratches that you can't feel iwth your fingernail

If it's just a fine surface scratch no kits going to fix it. I had one on my mustang and I took it to a repair shop and they said they could try but w/o a deeper scratch/chip it probably wouldn't do anything. So, pickup a rock and make a bigger 'scratch', just make sure you have glass breakage on your insurance first

To tell you the truth, it almost seems like the windshield is coated with something, and that's what scratched...
And yeah, I already have a small chip too. I was thinking about taking a chisel to that to widen it a bit and calling insurance, heh.

I got some of their plastic polish...works like magic.
