I love ebay sometimes... - .RJ - 12-27-2007 ... sometimes for nothing other than the entertainment value. I bought a CB750 part on ebay, that didnt show up 2 weeks later. I sent several messages to the seller asking about it and received nothing back - if he had said it will go out after the holidays, I'm ok with that, but no response. So I left a neg feedback and submitted a claim to paypal - that got his attention, and he sends me this: Quote:dear mr negative feedback - Evan - 12-27-2007 if he didnt recieve your first massage then who's back were you rubbing? - Kaan - 12-27-2007 BODY MASSAGE! edit: welcome to ebay... i still dont have the rear spokes for the 16 inch wheel. fuckers! - HAULN-SS - 12-27-2007 ahahaa - G.Irish - 12-27-2007 Well its kind of bullshit that he didn't leave you feedback after you first paid him. I know a lot of sellers do that to try to bully you into giving them good feedback but they should leave you positive feedback after you fill your end of the deal. - Maengelito - 12-27-2007 a guy recently bought a wii from me on ebay. the ass won the auction then emails me like 10 minutes later and says he doesnt want it. i tell him that its too late because he already won, so he replies with, okay, payment is on the way. then he tells me that he is not going to buy the wii and somehow its my fault because i filed a non-paying bidder claim on his account even though he won and didn't pay me. some ebayers are just so retarded. - Apoc - 12-27-2007 There's a reason I stopped using Ebay a year or two ago. I realize it offers a depth not possible on Craigslist but I prefer Craigslist like infinity times more for buying/selling. - .RJ - 12-27-2007 No better source for parts for old busted bikes. Other than that... not much use for it. - Apoc - 12-27-2007 .RJ Wrote:No better source for parts for old busted bikes. Maybe that should tell you something.
- Evan - 12-27-2007 I hate ebay. But unfortunately, you just cant get some stuff without it. Its set up in the best interests of the seller (which makes sense for ebay, sellers are ebays customers, not the end customers) - Ginger - 12-27-2007 It's a shame that the buyer pool is so deep... if enough people were pissed off by seller abuse and left, it would force a restructuring. I wouldn't mind splitting the fees if it meant I had recourse with institutional oversight when things went downhill. - John - 12-27-2007 I used eBay for the first time in about 5 years earlier this year. Won and paid for the auction, only to receive no response. Finally I was notified that he was out of stock but would send it to me soon (why are you selling something on eBay if you don't have it). I requested my money returned with the PayPal feehe refused, and he left me negative feedback. After 3 weeks of complaining, he notifies me that my part had shipped. I have since vowed to never use eGay again... - .RJ - 12-27-2007 For the most part I've had really good luck with ebay. Stuff usually shows up on time, no hassle. There's only been 2 or 3 times where its never sent out. If its a new part that I can get elsewhere I wont buy it from an ebay seller. - Apoc - 12-27-2007 Given all the crap you buy for bikes, what's your feedback rating... 769? - .RJ - 12-27-2007 80. I dont buy that much crap
- Apoc - 12-27-2007 32 sucka! I actually went back to see when I last used it. Here are my last three transaction dates... one of which was selling that hot tub. I guess I wasn't that far off. Dec-04-06 Dec-08-05 Oct-12-04 - Mike - 12-27-2007 hrug: i have 92 feedback with an equal amount of buy/sell. i think i've only dealt with one shitty person. my mom has ~3000 and only a handful of bad stories.methinks some people are just hating on the big guy. sure, craigslist is great for common stuff and it is often cheaper, but you're f'd if you want to find something that your next door neighbor likely doesnt have. - Apoc - 12-27-2007 Mike Wrote:you're f'd if you want to find something that your next door neighbor likely doesnt have. that's what crazedlist or for - Mike - 12-27-2007 Apoc Wrote:Mike Wrote:you're f'd if you want to find something that your next door neighbor likely doesnt have. it's broken 50% of the time. - Mike - 12-27-2007 Mike Wrote:Apoc Wrote:Mike Wrote:you're f'd if you want to find something that your next door neighbor likely doesnt have. and sure enough, just did an ALL search for "neo geo" and it froze my browser. |
