Anyone got anything good to talk about? - Andy - 12-19-2007 I'm bored out of my mind and about to head out on vacation so I'm barely here at work. The forum is slow as hell and I've read all the espn, SI, autoblog, bs I can stand. - Ginger - 12-19-2007 Price cap: $2,000 (preferably less). Find me the best 4 wheel deal you possibly can. - .RJ - 12-19-2007
- Ginger - 12-19-2007 Andy will tow me on that!? To work!? OK - does it have a heater? - .RJ - 12-19-2007 asteele2 Wrote:Andy will tow me on that!? To work!? Give that fan a contract! - Andy - 12-19-2007 That sounds like work. I'm trying to get into vacation mode. Speaking of which, I'm heading to SF this weekend. It's a vacation/reconnaissance mission. My company is opening an office in either SF or Sacramento so Joan and I are checking it out. Have any of you guys been there? I'm going to stop by Thunderhill on my way to Sacramento and Infineon during our wine country drive but other than that, I haven't a clue as to what else is out there. - Andy - 12-19-2007 Fuck you both - .RJ - 12-19-2007 Andy Wrote:Fuck you both  When are you thinking of moving? I cant wait to GTFO. - Ginger - 12-19-2007 In SF you've gotta go to the Harbor. It's not crazy or anything, but it's nice, especially for couples. She'll probably want to go to the Choclatier there, and that's kind of cool, anyway. I walked the Golden Gate last time I was there, but it was kind of underwhelming. Bring a sweatshirt... even though it's not frigid there's warmer places to be ![]() I'm not sure if you'll roll through Monterey, but Cannery Row is a great place to go get drinks. - Apoc - 12-19-2007 I've never been but things I've heard... -Burritos from La Taqueria the Mission District -Ride a cable car at Powell St, have a Beard Papa creampuff in the food court -Bread bowl of soup at FishermanÔÇÖs Wharf - Andy - 12-19-2007 We're moving next summer. We're starting to slowly sell off all of our crap. The plan is to have my company sign over a big ass check for moving expenses but basically just have 1 car to drive cross country. We packed rain gear and warm clothes. I'm going to rent a car for two days so I can see what the parking situation is like. I don't know what I'm going to do for a track car if we end up living in SF. - Ginger - 12-19-2007 Apoc Wrote:-Bread bowl of soup at FishermanÔÇÖs Wharf +1 - Andy - 12-19-2007 asteele2 Wrote:Apoc Wrote:-Bread bowl of soup at FishermanÔÇÖs Wharf Awesome. I love soup. Also, the rental is a green mustang. - Mike - 12-19-2007 asteele2 Wrote:Price cap: $2,000 (preferably less). i'm bored too and have a ton of work to do.. but... http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/ ... 84704.html http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/ ... 48476.html http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/ ... 27678.html http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/ ... 96849.html http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/ ... 94476.html http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/ ... 88194.html http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/ ... 52336.html http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/ ... 22521.html i went back a whole day and only looked at cars with pictures. - Ginger - 12-19-2007 Also, seriously, I love SF. That's one of the few cities I really like. Public transportation is easy there, too. There are some interesting mega stores out there. When I went I was still racing bicycles and it was at Lance Fever peak, so the 3 story Nike story had tons of shit that I couldn't resist buying. - Andy - 12-19-2007 Do any of you guys have an airline power adapter for the macbooks? I don't want to shell out 60 bucks for a thing I'm only going to use 1-2 a year. - HAULN-SS - 12-19-2007 Heh, my dad's boss got in a fight with an Iraqi on a street car in SF once. The story goes that he got on after taking the guys out for drinks and was smoking a fat cigar. The trolley driver told him there was no smoking, which he ignored, because he's ridiculous rich and doesnt give a crap. The guy stopped the street car, came back there and told him no smoking again, at which time the boss (ed) blew smoke rings in his face. Well, the Iraqi took this as quite insulting, and they got up in each others face. Trolley driver drives them back to the switching station, ranting the whole time, kicked them off, followed them out yelling and being int heir face before another trolley driver got him away. needless to say, they had to get back to the hotel in a cab. After stopping for more drinks. As I heard the story "You're not shit, you damn Iraqi. Our country just kicked your country's ass all over the place"...this was in 2003. - HAULN-SS - 12-19-2007 Andy Wrote:Do any of you guys have an airline power adapter for the macbooks? You're not going to find a plug in an airplane in coach. - Ginger - 12-19-2007 Thanks, Mike, I'll take a look at them as soon as I get home... I just got swamped for the rest of the day. - Mike - 12-19-2007 HAULN-SS Wrote:Andy Wrote:Do any of you guys have an airline power adapter for the macbooks?
