FS: 2000 Boxster - jongp3 - 11-23-2007 I saw an ad that came up at my work, today. Apparently someone's relative is selling their 911. It doesn't have any details other then "need a 4 seater" selling cheap 20k. That sounds like a nice price? But I figured I'd post here see if anyone is interested. If you want the contact Info PM I can get it for you. Don't have any pics. Summary: Not a 911 2000 Boxster 16k Miles Garage Kept Adult Owned 20k - Goodspeed - 11-23-2007 Boxster and 911 are two different things...this must be a 996 gen Boxster. I don't think 21k is spectacular for those cars, and the early models ('97 first MY and a few after) had a myriad of problems. Make sure the "change engine light" isn't on... - D_Eclipse9916 - 11-23-2007 if its a 911, good price, a boxster, thats their selling rates with low miles. Hell you can pick em up now for as for as I know in the teens. - jongp3 - 11-23-2007 Yeah, she says its a boxster 911 I'm having her ask which it is. I'll post back when i know more. Mostly likely its not a 911 Edit: She is getting me pics and it has 16k miles. - BLINGMW - 11-24-2007  that's funny. Um I have, like, some kind of porsche? *flicks hair* 911 Boxster I think? It has a V8! - .RJ - 11-24-2007 Goodspeed Wrote:Boxster and 911 are two different things Yeah, the boxster is a hairdresser's car

It has a V8! haha thats almost exactly what she did  not a 911 said he'd take 20k - Feersty - 11-25-2007 What is the mileage and other specifics? Not interested, just trying to get the information up here. - Maengelito - 11-26-2007 .RJ Wrote:Goodspeed Wrote:Boxster and 911 are two different things lol, thats exactly what alex ratcliffe's dad said to me when he was my group1 student one weekend. its hilarious to hear an old british man with a thick accent say that while we're in a miata. - Evan - 11-26-2007 "Porsche with panties" whatever, id still hit it. - BLINGMW - 11-26-2007 I would too, that's the only modern Porsche I would be interested in owning - Apoc - 11-26-2007 BLINGMW Wrote:I would too, that's the only modern Porsche I would be interested in owning Srsly? - .RJ - 11-26-2007 Apoc Wrote:BLINGMW Wrote:I would too, that's the only modern Porsche I would be interested in owning Channing would prefer a E30 over a porsche though
- Apoc - 11-26-2007 Boxster is only modern Porsche I wouldn't consider owning. Well, except for that abortion that is the Cayenne... but that hardly counts. - BLINGMW - 11-26-2007 I don't know: 1) engine's on the wrong end 2) they're too expensive 3) Boxster is constantly rated as like, the best sports car for your $$ 4) most Porsche people are dicks so having them think I'm a pansy for not owning a "real" Porsche would be ideal. I'm guessing the Cayman would be ok too But this is all rather academic, only if I were a millionare, had a field of E30s, a race car, and bikes and support vehicles and was just bored would I ever have a Boxster. Realistically, you'd likely see me with a 914 long before a Boxster. - Mike - 11-27-2007 BLINGMW Wrote:3) Boxster is constantly rated as like, the best sports car for your $$ no way, s2k beats it all the time. that said, the ms3 recently took the title, but is that really a sports car? just shows how worthless the press are i guess
- .RJ - 11-27-2007 I would definitely take a boxster over the s2k.... at least until the repair bils started coming in. - Mike - 11-27-2007 .RJ Wrote:I would definitely take a boxster over the s2k.... at least until the repair bils started coming in. i'd likely take an s over the... s... but a regular one? dey slowwww. - .RJ - 11-27-2007 its better than the torqueless wonder under your hood - and sounds much better too, if you like a flat-6
- Evan - 11-27-2007 Boxster > S2000 not even a contest |
