Ever try to get sponsorship? - navin - 11-19-2007 If so - I was hoping someone might have a proposal I could use as a template, etc. thaaaaanks. - G.Irish - 11-19-2007 What are you attempting to get sponsorship for, and from whom? I don't know if you've heard of sponsorhouse.com but you might want to try there. They have a templated-system where you submit your proposal to potential sponsors who are also registered with the site. - navin - 11-19-2007 It's actually from my job (restaurant, Buffalo Wing Factory) so i hope no one gets the idea that I'm going out trying to email Spoon Sports or something for free parts ![]() Basically they (BWF) have decided and are trying to sell franchises, move business out towards Leesburg, Tysons, and who knows where else. I know they sponsored a friend of mine for his circle track car, but they really didnt get much out of it. Seeing the popularity of HPDE, TT, and even NASA expanding and especially having Summit so close and also VIR I think it would be a good idea to do some promotion. Of course I'm no Steve Mcqueen, but hey it would look pretty good on them sponsoring the guy that has busted his ass at work for the past 3 years with them, and if it gives me some free $$ or track time why not, never hurts to try. I just want to present it in the most professional way possible. If anyone has any statistics about the rise of popularity of DE's and our sport in general I'd appreciate, gonna shoot out of a few emails myself. Annd, maybe BWF can sponsor dinners now at NASA weekends. That damn lasagna tears my stomach up. - .RJ - 11-19-2007 They should sponsor my bike racing effort for 2008 ![]() - navin - 11-19-2007 They basically sponsored my car build/entry fees in 06' for HPDE's, free beer for all! - ButtDyno - 11-21-2007 Mine looked something like this: -Fancy cover page with lots of cool action shots -one paragraph summary of the whole thing -why them (naturally this is pretty important) -why you --past success (doesn't apply so much to HPDE) --upcoming events/schedule --car w/ list of mods (less important for you) -what you're looking for specifically -contact information I print em out on fancy paper and get them bound at Staples. Then follow up of course ![]() It's worked out okay, except that JIC took me up on it... and that's not going well. - Mike - 11-21-2007 I'm confused. Every other week your car is for sale, but then every OTHER week you're talking about wild future plans for it. |
