125/250cc classes will be there - I may skip Laguna this year and do Indy GP and WSBK @ Miller.

- Apoc - 11-09-2007

I'm a maybe at this point. It seems more likely I'll be at Laguna, depending on when my buddy is getting married.

- .RJ - 11-09-2007

Bitchface, you said you were out for laguna.

- Apoc - 11-09-2007

Like I said, it really depends on when my buddy is getting married. If he gets married when I think he is, then I'll miss Laguna by a week.

If I miss Laguna, Imma try and make Indy... but I can't commit at this point.

- Sijray21 - 11-09-2007

mmm...pending prices, i'm in!

- Apoc - 11-09-2007

My lovely wife just reminded me that if I get into grad school, I'll have class that Friday or Saturday. Sad

- Mike - 11-09-2007

i'm interested.

- ScottyB - 11-09-2007

dammit, i really want this to happen this year but i don't know if i have enough vacation days.

- .paul - 11-11-2007

i am in for Indy, and WSBK

- GQROB - 11-13-2007

I'm going.
I will probably get scalped tickets at the track.

You'd only really have to take 1 or 2 days off. None if you don't wanna go for Friday practice and can catch a flight after the race.

Hmm, I guess now would be a good time to start making hotel reservations for next year's races too. Indianapolis and Miller (WSBK) for sure. Might be a good time to make plans if I'm going to go to a European race too...

- .RJ - 11-13-2007

Hotel reservations in Indy are going to be ridiculously expensive for the weekend of the race - $250 and up per night. Perhaps we can stay 20-30 miles further out...

- Apoc - 11-13-2007

OMG $250 is soooo high!!

Actually they're not bad at all because Indianapolis is a venue that has about 3 100k plus (up to 300k or 400k for NASCAR I think) spectator events per year as opposed to Laguna where Moto GP is the only really big event per year.

As of right now there are about 9 or 10 decent places for under $100 and a lot of places for between $100 and $200. As long as we reserve early hotel shouldn't be a big problem.

Thats good - the guys over on corner-carvers are screaming the sky is falling about hotel prices but maybe they're all trying to stay downtown or something.

No they probably just ASSumed that the prices would be the same as they are during the F1 weekend or the Brickyard 400 or something. There are a couple of places that are downtown that are right around the $100 mark.

If Jess and I are still on the east coast, I think we're in 8)

A few of them made some calls and got rates anywhere from $250-800/night... not sure where they were calling though.

Hmm, might be a good idea to confirm interweb price quotes then.
