My Triumph - Scott - 10-02-2007

Well, after not driving my TR6 for about a year, I went and unbarried it from storage since there is a show this weekend. You know what, with all the talk of how the British cars are unreliable, the car started right up on the first crank after I rehooked the battery up. My car is 100% original, but over the winter I think I am going to do an engine tear down (getting a little tired, plus the original clutch is about shot).

- ScottyB - 10-02-2007

that thing is so hot.

I almost had one given to me. They are neat little cars minus anything electrical. Yours looks really nice.

- CaptainHenreh - 10-02-2007

That reminds me.

Do you know why the English drank warm beer?

Because they had Lucas refrigerators!

I've actually had no electrical problems with mine, but I know several who have

^^ haha, Rex

it seems to me that triumph was rocking the polished deep dish look before it was even cool

tr6 = sexy time!

i like, but it'd look better in white with GIANT tires and a v8.

i hope that's a tr6. oh, and i still beat him in an awfully prepared (at the time) civic on street tires. weeee!

edit: but i bet he pulls way more bitches... when he's not waiting for the tow truck to pick him up. weeeeee!

kidding on all fronts. i love british cars, but like boats and babies, i'd much rather someone else have one.

- BLINGMW - 10-02-2007

neat, I didn't know you had a Triumph

Nice Triumph Smile Did you get a fun letter from the DMV about owning an antique vehicle?

I'm a little pissed about that... retards.

nope, I sure didn't. But my insurance is only $75 a year because it has antique plates on it Big Grin

I actually have another triumph, a TR3, that is awaiting to become a vintage race car (someday....)

- Apoc - 10-02-2007

...and people I'm stupid for wanting a TR6.

... because you'd go broke paying someone to work on it for you.

i made a new type of haiku, bitches.

Scott that's a great looking TR6! What year is that? 74-5ish? My mom has a Triumph Orange TR6 that I'm eager to rebuild one of these days. I think I'll have to buy stock in Moss Motors first....

They are fun cars. That straight 6 sounds awesome and it has some great body lines (with the top down...).

It's a '76 (last year), I have a set of Webers that are going to go on it at some point (with the engine rebuild). As for the side, the TR6 actually feels at lot more roomier than the Miata, and the straight 6 is a sweet motor

awesome car!!!

That would make it a Sunbeam.

A Sunbeam Tiger to be more exact (the Sunbeam had a 4-cyl.)
