SOLD: 1993 240sx - Dave - 09-17-2007 Just got the truck, selling the 240. This car has been my daily driver for a while now, even though I originally bought it with the intention of building it into an SRX racecar (before I got the Z). Because that was specifically what I was looking for, this is the absolute base model without sunroof, rear wiper, power locks or windows, and the interior was a little rough (racecar = going to gut anyways). A big reason that I bought the car was because it was mechanically in very good shape. There is no rust on the frame or body of the car, the engine is very strong and overall, it appeared to be in good shape. It has been incredibly reliable and I still really enjoy driving it every day. 1993 Nissan 240sx hatchback -162,xxx miles on chassis -KA24DE engine supposedly rebuild 30,000 miles ago. Pulls very strong and feels very healthy. No leaks, no noises. These engines, in my experience are damn near indestructible and are really not as bad as people make it out to be. -automatic transmission works perfectly, shifts fine, no leaks, no noises / car comes with all major parts and components for manual conversion -89-90 front bumper -no sunroof, no rear wiper -manual windows -AC blows ice cold -zero rust, bone stock and unmodified -paint is ok, driver fender and front & rear bumpers in worst condition, roof paint is starting to oxidize -29-30 mpg consistently -Pioneer head unit, stock speakers -rebuilt starter in 4/07, good alternator (tested 4/07) -alloy rims, brand new front tires (8/07), rears should still get several thousand out of them. -battery fairly new (06) -new rear brake pads (5/07) -replaced both outer tie rod ends (5/07) -VA state inspection 5/07 ![]() ![]() ![]() I am looking to get $2300 OBO for the car as it is, with everything. I have some receipts from previous owner and I have receipts for everything I have purchased. This would make a fantastic car for a college person (rear hatch is enormous, gas friendly, fun to drive) and has loads of potential. The auto->manual conversion is not very hard and is well documented online, for somebody seeking a manual. - ScottyB - 09-18-2007 good luck, that's a cool little car! would be a great project for someone looking to learn more about wrenching. - KPWSerpiente - 09-20-2007 I swear I'm not a hater but I sold my manual 240sx to Andy for like 700 bucks. -T - Dave - 09-20-2007 Heh, yeah. We'll see what I can get for it, that's just a starting point. - Dave - 09-26-2007 Price dropped to $2300 for MM members. - Nick325is - 09-27-2007 Good luck with the sale Dave. I sold Drew's 240 for that much on craigslist and yours is in better condition. -Nick - Dave - 10-27-2007 Sold bitchez! Actually, sold it 2 weeks ago, but buyer took it today. - ziich - 10-28-2007 how much did it go for? - Dave - 10-29-2007 $2300 - Nis01 - 10-29-2007 Dave Wrote:Sold bitchez!Excellent Dave, congratulations. |
