I dont really understand how moving to this bloated cost of living area is going to help them cut costs......but maybe thats why Im not a big company executive.

I'd be really surprised if even half the people working at the office now moved with them. Part of their stated objective is to bring in fresh minds.. don't do that by simply relocating everybody. Folks got families and such, if you're just an accountant and your wife is say, entrenched in a teach job 6 years from retirement and your kids in just starting high school it may be just time to say "F that" and start looking for new work.

you bastard. took me 15 minutes to go 2 miles last week to pick up Jen from lab at emory once i got near campus. i freakin hate all the rich ass undergrads at emory that drive instead of biking or using the bus since a $600 annual parking pass is chump change to daddy.

With Michigan in the dire straights they're in, I'd be banking that a large percentage will entertain relocation packages.

yeah, the light at glebe and lee was longer than usual, but i was still door to desk in less than 10
