So...How 'bout them Cowboys? - white_2kgt - 08-10-2007

Yea, yea, I know preseason, bla, bla. Still, it was nice to see them win a game. So anyone want to talk football rather than reading stories of illegal grass cutters?

- BLINGMW - 08-10-2007

neither are interesting topics Sad

- Apoc - 08-10-2007

Yay Cowboys!

Last night's game was my first in HD (at home) and it was sweet!

- Hunter - 08-10-2007

I hope the cowboys bus drives over a banana peel, slides off a cliff, catches on fire, and explodes. Just like the O'Doyle family in Billy Madison.

- Kaan - 08-10-2007

Let me guess hunter... you think the redskins have the greatest team ever put together... on paper... like the last 15 years... the last 15 years of preseason hipe in washington and shitty results. well at least you guys are still loyal.

Preseason football is the same every year in DC.... wild expectations, followed by depression and alcoholism.

- stevegula - 08-10-2007

Congrats Dallas, your unsigned scrubs are better than Indy's unsigned scrubs? I support the preseason but only because it makes for great practice for the people you're still unsure about. I refuse to get all happy about it.

Redskins are going to the Superbowl regardless (obligatory pre-season start statement).

Genuine opinions - I'm expecting the NFC East (excluding the New York Ginas - Eli can eat a dick) to be strong this year. I'm a Skins fan, but when the Skins can't make it I'm just happy someone from the NFC East does. Regardless of performance I see this as Gibbs' last year followed by a promotion for either Saunders or Williams. I hope Landry isn't a headhunter like Taylor, it'd suck to have two physically awesome safeties that refuse to cover their assigned people.

Actually I think the skins will suck again this year, but that doesn't stop me from rooting for them. I have no faith in their ability to stop the run, the lack of depth on the Oline scares me, and our number two receiver is better at busting a rhyme than catching footballs (and he sucks dick at rapping). A lot of things have to come together for the skins to have a good year, so I'm betting on 7 or 8 wins.

PS. If the cowboys bus does fly off a cliff I'm raising my prediction to 9 or 10 wins.

I hope the Dolphins do not look like pansies against the Patsies this year.

Got home earlier this morning from the Steelers-Redskins game. My brother in law got free tickets(YAY working at the federal reserve board) and so myself and one of the kids that goes to his church, got to sit at club level. Not too bad for my first game. My brother in law however, had first row tickets in the endzone, so he and my 6 year old nephew were really psyched. Too bad not much was going on in the endzone.

Anyway, the lengths at which it took us to get to the game, and the ride home on the metro are a completely different story. But not worth shitting up this wonderful Cowboys thread any more.

Yeah my girlfriend's father lives right near you and has to wake up at 4:10am or 4:40am every morning to commute to the Navy Yard. It takes him an hour a half to get work. He takes car, bus, and metro.

Here's a big F-U to that damn game. I was stuck on the fucking beltway for 2hrs last night trying to get home. fucking redskins, just more of a reason to hate them

- CaptainHenreh - 08-19-2007

Just a note: That was Julie, as there was no Redskins game in Seattle last night. Still, I'm jealous because I <3 football and have yet to actually go to a game. Sad

- Jewels - 08-19-2007

Oh shit. Yeah that was me posting, God damnit Rex do you have to be automatically logged into every computer you ever use. Oh well. Yeah Rex's brother hooked me up with some awesome tickets. Smile

- Evan - 08-19-2007

- Apoc - 08-19-2007

Care to put your money where your mouth is?

- Hunter - 08-20-2007

Jason Campbell and Jesus have the same initials. Coincidence? I think not.

- Apoc - 08-20-2007

I bet Jesus sucks at football too.

- Apoc - 08-20-2007

$25/game?

AKA: $50 if either sweeps.
