SOLD: '94 Lightning - JohnC - 07-29-2007

SOLD SOLD SOLD

Yup, for sale again. This time its for real, since we're headed overseas.

Original FS thread

Mileage is now around 110k. I have a clean VA title in hand.

Price is still $3500 for MMers, and I get the right of first refusal should it come up for sale again. That a steal, considering that since the previous thread, its gotten new shocks all around, front end bushings, new interior carpet, sound deadening, new rear axle bearings and seals, new transmission fluid and pan gasket, new alternator, and probably a few other odds and ends.

The only negatives are the lack of air conditioning (replaced with an idler pulley) and the somewhat weathered exterior.

Kaan, if you buy it I'll throw in the CB750 for free Smile

- Kaan - 07-30-2007

the bill for putting the new motor in the crx is restricting me from buying this FORD Wink from the Chapins stables. But i'm all over that CB750... i'll see you this weekend... and next weekend... Wink

Somebody buy this truck!
It can serve as a fantastic daily driver with ability to tow a car if needed and if you don't feel manly when you hear the growl from the exhaust pipe, you need to leave our club.
Thats a fantastic price for such an uncommon vehicle maintained this well and in this great of a shape.

So, I guess I missed something - but where are you moving? When do you need to have this stuff gone by?

Moving to Australia

I'd like to have both vehicles gone by mid-September. Probably going to store the bikes and the Subaru while we're gone.

Ginger wants it!

- Ginger - 07-30-2007

Ginger can't afford it unless somebody gives him a lot of money for the red bike.

Wait...can this tow a vehicle, is it already set up to do so??

- .RJ - 07-30-2007

It'll tow just fine as long as you pick a fairly light trailer and car to pull, and distribute the weight well Smile

I towed my Z32 to VIR a couple of times, and also towed Merkurs all over the state of Virginia. I just used the bumper hitch, but I've actually got an uninstalled Draw-Tite hitch that I could be persuaded to part with as well...

It also needs a brake controller - the trailers I used had surge brakes. That being said, all of the wiring for the brake controller is there (courtesy of Ford), so it would be plug-and-play. It also has a transmission cooler and an aftermarket transmission temperature gauge.

As for pics, I'll get some tomorrow and post them up.

**Edit: Dave and Rex have borrowed this truck to tow with as well, so they can vouch for it
