Little HD Home Movie of some Tree Trimming - white_2kgt - 06-18-2007 Nevermind. - Apoc - 06-18-2007 I gotta be honest, other than it being 16x9 I wasn't all that impressed. Maybe it's my LCD or something but it looks kinda hazy. - white_2kgt - 06-18-2007 you want me to post the full res m2t file? You'll need something like vlc to play it. It is compressed. - JackoliciousLegs - 06-18-2007 white_2kgt Wrote:Sorry all you Mac/Linux only users. MOV's were like twice the size for the same quality.Man, I love picking fights... ![]() Not bad quality actually. Apoc Wrote:I gotta be honest, other than it being 16x9 I wasn't all that impressed. Maybe it's my LCD or something but it looks kinda hazy.I think if you watch watch from the beginning of the 30s mark to the end, you'll notice that the camera automatically adjusts for light conditions. That could be one reason it looks fuzzy. The other, obviously, is compression. I'm sure Mike's more well versed in this stuff, but I don't think WMV is the greatest codec for something like this. Take a look at the HD trailers on apple.com/trailers and they're even smaller and much better quality. It'd be really interesting to see this in full quality, or even better, to see a clip of it slowly panning a stably lit area. - white_2kgt - 06-19-2007 So you CAN watch wmv on apple! Cool. This is the only footage I currently have that isn't of the baby .yes the camera was on full auto mode since I haven't had much of a chance to mess w/ it out side. Indoors I put it in 1080/24p cine mode or Tv48 and the colors are outstanding (I use a flood light for some backfill). I don't think you realize how far I was zoomed up on the chainsaw at the beginning. You can read the writing on the side! He was in a cherry picker like 50 feet in the air. Jack. If you have some compression configuration for MOV I'd love to get them (I'm using Sony Vegas if you've ever heard of it). I've been watching some amateur film makers video shot using this camera and they export to MOV and look amazing, I just couldn't get the file size to something reasonable and still look decent. I usually export everything to wmv b/c the in-laws are the ones watching our videos and they don't have to install anything else to watch the video, plus the file size issue (their cable modem is SLOOOOOOOW). - Apoc - 06-19-2007 white_2kgt Wrote:you want me to post the full res m2t file? - white_2kgt - 06-19-2007 lol, so many haters. nevermind. - Apoc - 06-19-2007 constructive criticism is your friend - white_2kgt - 06-19-2007 constructive hate is useless. I took the video camera outside and took a 1 minute clip then put it back in the house. I didn't setup lights, sounds, nothing. 'colors are horrendous' doesn't help. The motion is off b/c I did a quick pan downwards while in 24p mode. I can post some better setup shots later, but they are going to be of the baby. - Mike - 06-19-2007 if you didn't post for our critique, then why did you post at all? nobody gives a damn that you cut a tree down. - white_2kgt - 06-19-2007 Mike Wrote:if you didn't post for our critique, then why did you post at all? nobody gives a damn that you cut a tree down. good, movie removed, now delete the thread like you are so good at doing. - Mike - 06-19-2007 :?: - HAULN-SS - 06-19-2007 man, that was a sweet tree you cut down! |
