Need a new 'FAT ASS' Cookout Item - white_2kgt - 05-21-2007 So we have this cookout every year here at work, the past two years I have introduced them to the widowmakers (which they loved) and KrispyBurgers (krispy kream donuts as the bun for a hamburger, which only a handfull of them liked). The cookout is coming up next month and I can't think of something else that's super bad for you yet easy to make with nothing but a charcoal grill available (no I can't take the deep-fryer , it's at a park in the woods so that would be bad if it spilled). So I turn to MM for suggestions. It should be something pretty easy to pickup like the widowmakers 2 items and the krispyburgers, just had to get donuts since we had burgers already. Suggestions? - Mike - 05-21-2007 fried candy/oreos. - JustinG - 05-21-2007 yea those are awesome, had em at the statefair - Maengelito - 05-21-2007 i had introduced a friend of mine to widowmakers awhile ago and last year, he had a cookout at his place. instead of kielbasa, he used small steak cubes that were marinated in various flavors and then wrapped in bacon. i gotta admit, i did like the kielbasa more, but this was a very close 2nd - Apoc - 05-21-2007 Inside-out burger where the cheese (like mozzarella) is in the middle? It's not that inventive but certainly easy to pull off if all you have is a grill. - Maengelito - 05-21-2007 that reminds me of another thing i heard about. a buddy of mine at work uses breakfast sausage and mixes it in with ground beef and parmesan cheese as the binder. he then uses A1 or worscester sauce for flavor and makes burgers out of it. he says its super greasy so its best not to do it on like a foreman grill inside, but only if you have a grill outside. i havent tried it, but it sounds good - HAULN-SS - 05-21-2007 sausage + beef? yuk! sounds like pwoison! - WRXtranceformed - 05-21-2007 Says the guy who puts mayo and mustard all over his steak and cheese. - Apoc - 05-21-2007 WRXtranceformed Wrote:Says the guy who puts mayo and mustard all over his steak and cheese. Nice one. "Proper" meatball mix is lamb, veal and pork but I bet he puts mustard on them too. - HAULN-SS - 05-21-2007 grape jam actually...best meatballs I ever had were made with jelly - Feersty - 05-21-2007 Shrimp wrapped in bacon and covered in barbeque sauce. My friend had it for his New Year's Eve party, and it's m0ney. - Mike - 05-21-2007 Feersty Wrote:Shrimp wrapped in bacon and covered in barbeque sauce. My friend had it for his New Year's Eve party, and it's m0ney. a) that is not fatass b) why did you use a 0 instead of an o? you don't know shit about computers, you're not "leet," so stfu. c) why are you posting all of a sudden? - Apoc - 05-21-2007 How about the classic eggburger?
- ScottyB - 05-21-2007 that looks like it could choke a mule. - Apoc - 05-21-2007 That's what she said. - mrbaggio - 05-22-2007 Mike with the smack down. |
