Bersa Firearms - (I'ma) Tell (you) whats up - Jeff - 04-24-2007 So, I'm free white and 21 and I want to buy a(nother) handgun. I want something small enough to be a carry weapon and with ammo cheap enough to blast with at the range...the kicker....UNDER $300. I found a company called Bersa that makes a .380 automatic w/ 7rnd cap and the gun is the perfect size. $230 new at the local gun shop, the "only one they have been able to get in awhile" Has anyone shot one? <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.bersafirearmsusa.com/detail_bersa380.php">http://www.bersafirearmsusa.com/detail_bersa380.php</a><!-- m --> Its kinda ballin... I'm thinkin $230 is a deal.5 - HAULN-SS - 04-24-2007 I have a friend that's a cop in chicago - he carries a Kel-Tech .380 that is small enough to fit in the watch pocket of a 'loose' pair of jeans. 6 n 1. They also make a 9mm i think, both of which available under 300$ (maybe like 250?) he said he really liked his. - Goodspeed - 04-24-2007 Hi-Point firearms http://www.hi-pointfirearms.com/ http://www.impactguns.com/store/hipoint.html 99 dollars for their 380 http://www.impactguns.com/store/752334003805.html - HAULN-SS - 04-24-2007 every gun on that site is out of stock, but accepting orders...wonder what's up with that? - Goodspeed - 04-24-2007 HAULN-SS Wrote:every gun on that site is out of stock, but accepting orders...wonder what's up with that? No idea...I noticed that too...just posted it up as a reference for how inexpensive they are. I've seen them for similar prices elsewhere, all with positive reviews. Their carbines are pretty neat - Ryan T - 04-24-2007 Not a fan of Hi-Point guns. Some people have had good luck with them but we took their 9mm out for a day at the range (or in this case our farmland) and had it jam on us like 4 or 5 times that day alone. Sights were decent. - CaptainHenreh - 04-24-2007 HAULN-SS Wrote:every gun on that site is out of stock, but accepting orders...wonder what's up with that? Almost every dealer in the country is out...Hi-Point handguns are sold as soon as their made. I'm on the waiting list for a 9mm with a quasi-local dealer. - Jeff - 04-24-2007 There are 5 hi-point guns at the place I was at today....they are not my fav...........I've had one. - CaptainHenreh - 04-24-2007 TurboOmni08 Wrote:There are 5 hi-point guns at the place I was at today....they are not my fav...........I've had one. Handguns? 9mm? - Mike - 04-24-2007 TurboOmni08 Wrote:There are 5 hi-point guns at the place I was at today....they are not my fav...........I've had one. last gun show i was at, they were everywhere. - CaptainHenreh - 04-24-2007 Mike Wrote:last gun show i was at, they were everywhere. Yeah, I could probably get one off of gunbroker.com, too...but I like to buy from local dealers. - Mike - 04-24-2007 - Nick325is - 04-24-2007 There were several hipoint handguns at Nuckles gun works in Staunton today. I like their carbines, however the handguns look like cheaply built waterguns. -Nick - Jeff - 04-24-2007 Nick325is Wrote:There were several hipoint handguns at Nuckles gun works in Staunton today. The 9mm Rex is looking for is a smaller more "proper" looking gun. They had one there rex...I'm 99% sure it was 9...but it may have been 40cal. I like this Bersa...it is a PPK knockoff and it has a lifetime service warranty...so I'm down! - CaptainHenreh - 04-24-2007 TurboOmni08 Wrote:. The Bersa def. looks better...but it's 2x-3x the price! - Goodspeed - 04-24-2007 TurboOmni08 Wrote:I loved the Carbine I had Did you have a 9mm or .40 cal carbine? Those have tickled my fancy, especially w/ the Applied Technology stock, they look great and every review is good that I've seen. Would make a cheap fun gun for target practice (somethin I thought about doing)

I like it, but the guy gave me $110 when I traded it in (for a 12ga) I paid $140 so it was a no-brainer. - Jeff - 04-25-2007 KAAAANNNNNNN!!!! Any thoughts big buddy? Might cop me dis' piece tomorrow morn unless someone can tell me if and why it sucks. - CaptainHenreh - 04-25-2007 TurboOmni08 Wrote:KAAAANNNNNNN!!!! Any thoughts big buddy?
