I found an endurance karting school in Charlotte, NC that offers team races on the Lowe's karting track. The next race is very soon: June 25th-26th. I'm not sure if we can make this event but they offer another race later in the year. Check it out:

go to the Charlotte, NC details in the yellow box on the left side of the page. There is an option for 3 or 6 hr races, prices are a bit steep but we may be able to work out something depending on club funds.

an hour of karting for $246 + rental gear (this is the mininum) seems VERY steep. Are these shifter karts?

G, Ryan and I looked into doign that last year. Came to the conclusion that its not really the best program for the money.
There is a place in NY that rents out Rotaxes and shifters for reasonable prices, we have been talking about doing that sometime.

I figured this sounded like a bit too steep in price. We can keep it in mind for a later time.

thats like doing Allsports sessions for $11. Except the karts dont suck. And the track doesnt suck. and...yeah. Sign me up.
btw, I find it very interesting that Rotax, 2nd fastest karts behind shifters are the cheapest karts to rent. Really a testament to the affordability of the rotax platform.
