I dunno. I mean, I took statistics...the only winning game in a casino is not playing at all. I might play some games for fun, but that's all it will be: Fun.
I do need to do something really cool while I'm out here, though. It'd be completely lame to come out here and just work.
And as far as comp'ing internet access goes...the hotel I'm staying at Caters to old people (apparently). I doubt they get a whole bunch of people whining about internet access, so maybe I have a chance there. The wired connection said 10 bucks a day, but when I logged onto the wireless, it said it was going to charge me <null> per (blank).
So I'm going to bitch when it's on my bill.

I'd say you CAN win in a casino, as long as you play a game that has close to 50/50 odds, and quit playing when you get a streak going. Assuming you havent already had a losing streak to that point. I figure that wouldnt be too hard of a strategy since you're their for work, not fun. You aren't there strictly to be entertained, so it would be easier to get up and walk away

slots have the WORST odds, your best odds are at the BlackJack table.

Yes, I know that Blackjack is probably the best game to "Win" at the casino...it's only stacked to the house because the house wins in a tie. But like I said, I'm not here to "Win big in Vegas". I'll park my ass in front of some slots cuz I can do it, get drunk, and then go back to my hotel room.
I may go play some blackjack, there are some cheap tables to be had, but to win at Blackjack is alot of work, and I won't win much -- the casino will see to that. Seriously guys, Casinos are a racket. Smarter people than you have set out to make sure you don't win, while making you think you can. I know I can't, so I'll just spend 10 bucks and enjoy the pretty lights.

On a side note, TODAY IS AWESOME!!! I can see grass today for the first time since the new year, I just finished my last final for the semester (trimester actually), and a used set of wheels with RA1's arrived at my door this morning.

Nobody's suggesting you are going to clean up, but playing blackjack for an hour or two is better than tossing nickles down a drain pipe. Spend the $10 on more beer and watch the old ladies at the penny slots.
