painting wheels is dumb - ziich - 03-10-2007

Had a set of LS meshes from my old Si which got busted up. I decided to refinish them with a little bling factor. These were supposed to be my winter wheels but the paint/polish process took a lot longer than expected coupled with the fact that I'm a lazy mofo, but better late than never.

old and busted:

looks like a nice stance as it is....but i'm definitely used to seeing that particular Si alot lower 8)

wheels looks good man. i take it you painted them all black and then sanded off the high areas? how long overall did it take?

i actually masked off the polished area first, primed and painted the insides, removed the tape then polished.

it was a bitch because i did these slowly over the span of 2 months and by that time the adhesive from the tape stuck onto the wheels and the polishing itself was a bitch, probably around 30 minutes a wheel. I halfassed the last few but you can't tell from a distance.
