Gettin' to be that time of year... - Apoc - 03-04-2007

...when the daily highs are in the 50s and warm enough for even me to ride. It's been awhile since we've had an update on some projects, so speak up if you're actually going to be ride ready in the next week.

Who's in?

Sunday

Sunday = Moto GP opener and Daytona 200.

- Apoc - 03-04-2007

So? You have Tivo now. Besides, the Qatar races don't start until 5pm.. you really think we'll be out that late?

You can't make fun of me for not riding when you pass it up in favor of watching TV.

- .RJ - 03-04-2007

For some reason I thought Daytona was on sunday as well.

Weather pending, I'm in.

- Ginger - 03-04-2007

What do I have to be ready for? My car hadn't been started since Wednesday when I woke up this morning.

Bike's ready for the track with a new set of tires... lots of new toys for the VFR, too.

Definitely in for a ride Sunday. Not Saturday, though. Any chance you guys want to tivo the 200 and watch MotoGP and the 200 back to back after the ride Sunday?

he was just trying to to say he is a true moto rider that rides all year.

edit

unlike me who rides to the starbucks >1 mile from my house to stunt the Ape.

- HAULN-SS - 03-05-2007

yeah, i think he was trying to re-affirm manhood in that too.

- Dragon - 03-05-2007

As promised I didn't touch the bike till I was healed. I'm finally able to move the shoulder without a lot of pain so repairs begin on the R6 within the next week. I'll be ready to ride soon enough.

- Apoc - 03-05-2007

Not soon enough sucka!

- Kaan - 03-05-2007

yeah the YZF is going to a guy on .net to have the spare carbs rebuilt, put on the bike, and all the jazz. but not until this weekend... so i'm out on this ride Sad

at least i'm going to get it running Wink

- .paul - 03-05-2007

I will be out of town FWIW. But obviously, I would not have made it anyways Wink

- PGK - 03-05-2007

I'm with Andrew on this. Getting to be that time of year?

I'd be down for the ride, but I'd just hold you folks back. When the vintage ride happens, I'm in.

- Ginger - 03-05-2007

What the shit? Two guys that probably haven't looked at streetbikes since long before the last time they jerked off try and call me out for reaffirming, well, some fucking thing. One guy who doesn't have a streetbike, and one guy who's passively trying to sell his... right.

This ride will be Chris, RJ, and I... the way it always is. Between now and the ride I'll probably rack up 30,000 miles on the VFR and have ridden every night, and through six snowstorms. Nobody's going to appreciate the running joke except the guys that actually show up to fucking ride. If you don't understand the joke then keep your condescending commentary to yourself.

And for the record, it was commentary on how Chris' bike battery might be dead from having not been ridden in... well, my calendar doesn't go that far back. I switched to '07.
