lowering kit - boomz - 06-06-2004 i m lookin for a lowering kit for my 1995 eclipse..lemme know if ny of u guys know ny place in harrisonburg where i can get a good one... - Mike - 06-06-2004 What exactly are you looking for? Lowering springs? Coilovers? Travis is our DSM guy, but he is on a trip right now. When he gets back he'll probably be able to help you out. Welcome to the board btw! Mind letting us know how you found us? - Dave - 06-07-2004 yeah, how bout intro to go along with your request Travis is the guy to talk to about DSM stuff. - Chris - 06-07-2004 yeah boomz and I spoke about his car. Hes basically looking to get rid of the wheel space with his new 16" wheels. Travis will have to help him out some when he gets back. - Mike - 06-07-2004 Chris you're gonna need my ghetto springs when I dump them. $20?
- Chris - 06-07-2004 oh yeah? I'd need shocks too right? or would those springs be all i need? - Mike - 06-07-2004 You could rock just the springs. Guy I bought the car off had em on stock shocks and all was fine. I'd be dumping my shocks too though, interested? I'd give you a pretty decent dealio. - Chris - 06-07-2004 hmmm I just might be... I've been looking for a "cheap" way to get it to handle better. I've never worked on suspension before, but I'm sure we could make a wrench day out of it. Any idea how much this would lower the car? I know it won't clear my driveway at home if it lowers at all- but thats not the end of the world. - Mike - 06-07-2004 It'd lower it like my car is (I'd guess 2")... You may wanna spend a few bucks and get some better springs (eibach pro-kit?) though. - JackoliciousLegs - 06-07-2004 will they fit an RX ?
- .RJ - 06-07-2004 :?: - Mike - 06-07-2004 :?: - JackoliciousLegs - 06-07-2004 :?: J.O.K.E. - .RJ - 06-07-2004 A pretty poor one
- boomz - 06-13-2004 sup yo... this is Muhammad man..i came by to one of your meetings last year but ma car was impounded for like 3 months...Don ask why...i got it back..just got done with the engine..and thas all...lookin forward to joinin the club in fall. - KPWSerpiente - 06-14-2004 To get rid of that wheelgap I'd grab some Eibach Pro Kit Springs. They'll give you about an inch and a half drop. I'll be buying these as well as some quality shocks as soon as I get back. You can get cheaper springs, or ones that drop the car more, but these are the springs most people I know use. I'm in Kansas right now, actually using a University of Kansas computer. We're on our way back home. -T |
