IT Internships (NOVA Area) - navin - 03-03-2007
Thought I would ask you donkeys since most of you are in IT related fields. I'm somewhat getting into my core classes for my degree and I'd like to get some real world experience (getting paid too is nice) before actually graduating college. I dont think it would look good on my resume that all I did was hustle chikkin and beers at a restaurant
So if any of you guys have any leads, pointers for scoring an internship, etc I'm all ears. As of right now my concentration is Information Security, but hell I'll go get donuts and coffee too as long as i have something!

I can probably get you an $18/hour internship with my team but you'll actually have to be reliable and be a hard worker. :wink: (read: a recommendation pretty much guarantees a job but it's then my reputation on the line if you decide to fuck off.)

I'd like to think I am a hardworker and quite reliable and organized. I'll be sure to throw on my resume that I'm a manager at the restaurant, ABC manager, and head bartender (i think)..

Yeah... AOL may be hemmoraging members and laying off people by the hundreds... but they toss cash around to those who are still on the payroll.
We have an intern from last year that wants to come back but my boss asked if we knew anyone who wanted an internship so that means worst case is 50/50.
