SOLD: 1991 Nissan Sentra SE-R - Dave - 02-07-2007 I need to thin out my garage some, so this will be the first to go hopefully. It is a 91 Nissan Sentra SE-R, powered by the infamous 2.0L SR20DE on a FWD platform. I bought it a little more than a year ago, did some light modifications and a lot of general maintenance, tracked it once at VIR, drove it, got hit by a deer, fixed and painted it, and now I'm selling it :-). Has a totally clean title in hand. Here's some info -$2400 OBO -146,000 miles -No 5th gear pop-out (common problem with these) -Zero rust (another big problem) -Comes with a bunch of receipts and paperwork from myself and previous owners All of the following has been done in the past 6,000 miles: -Installed a used set of KYB AGX shocks w/ Eibach springs (DS front shock is new, see below) -Compression Test: 164/169/170/178 -Cleaned Throttle body and adjusted/tightened throttle cable -Flushed crankcase and fuel system with Seafoam, as well as sucked through vacuum tube into intake -Replaced spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, coolant, and O2 sensor. -Flushed tranny with Redline MT-90 (shifts very nicely) -Installed front brake calipers from an NX 2000 with Brembo rotors, Superblue brake fluid, stainless braided brake lines, and Carbotech XP8 pads. -Kosei K1 (15x7) rims with Fuzion ZRi tires (205/50/15). Rolled the rear wheelwell a bit to reduce rubbing. -Pioneer DEH-P7400MP head unit plays MP3s. Car has upgraded speakers, but they came with the car, sound very good to me. -Replaced DS rear wheel bearing -For inspection replaced DS lower control arm (only way to get ball joint from Nissan), PS front wheel bearing, and PS ball joint (got this from Fisher auto parts) -Progress Lower Control Arm Brace -Progress Adjustable Front Sway Bar -Progress Adjustable Rear Sway Bar -Deer impact: replaced fender, DS headlamp and bulb, DS corner lens and bulb, DS front KYB AGX shock (was leaking anyways), replaced knuckle b/c got good deal at junkyard -new bulb in PS headlight -new valve cover gasket this April -new driver rear brake caliper (e-brake was seized) Bad/Needs: -Sunroof moulding needs replacement (comes with car) -Could use new engine mounts (comes with mounts) -Has an exhaust leak The interior is in really good shape and the exterior looks good too. It isn't perfect and could use a little more work, but it is very reliable, a lot of fun to drive, efficient and economical, and has a lot of potential. It can pretty easily seat 4 people (I've carried 5) and gets close to 30mpg as a DD. Great car for a college kid looking for a dual duty track and DD car.... Pics Below As a disclaimer, I have included everything I can think about this car. It is far from perfect but I have listed everything I can think that is wrong with it. There is no implication that the engine will not take a shit at a stoplight a week after it's sold, such is the nature of used cars. I can guarantee, however, that I have maintained this car to the best of my ability and should serve as a great car for quite some time. - l33t Mr2 - 02-07-2007 can i have some pictures i am kinda interested and i have a friend that is looking for one for autox - ScottyB - 02-07-2007 if only i wasn't buying a truck and fixing my car! best of luck with the sale...i can't see it staying up for sale long - BLAIR - 02-07-2007 hope the funds from this are going into boosting one of your other cars - Dave - 02-07-2007 i'm just using $$ from this to lower my debt. Essentially leads to boosting something, but I need to free up some capital first. - lillitnn92 - 02-08-2007 if i had cash right now i would soooo do it. i was kinda sad to see Jason let his go, but at least it went to a good guy. i was just telling my girlfriend tonight if only i had my taxes in my hand right now(+ a little extra) she's the type that doesn't understand buying something older though, so i bet she would really not like the idea. i need something else in a bad way too, the truck will probably kick the bucket in the next year. always liked the classic.
- Dave - 02-11-2007 PICS FINALLY!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
- Dave - 03-07-2007 Price and finder's fee adjusted. - Scott - 03-07-2007 I would bring it to the autocross on Sunday with a big for sale sign - Mike - 03-07-2007 hrmmm how much would i hate myself for selling the s2000 and having no car payments? i've always had a thing for se-rs... they're so surprisingly quick... - HAULN-SS - 03-07-2007 however much you hated yourself you'd probably forget about when you had that extra few hundred in the bank every month - Mike - 03-07-2007 but i'd be spending over and hour of every day in a car that was 15+ years old. - HAULN-SS - 03-07-2007 maibe you can add some bling to it to make you forget about that part too. - Beej - 03-07-2007 Mike Wrote:hrmmm how much would i hate myself for selling the s2000 and having no car payments? i've always had a thing for se-rs... they're so surprisingly quick...A lot. I miss that car every day (well, every day it's 50 degrees or higher). - Dave - 03-07-2007 sunroof still lets you enjoy the sunshine and wind :-). Mikey, PM me if you are actually interested, I'll send you my Word file of everything that's been done, plus any extra pics if you want. - Maengelito - 03-07-2007 wheres that VT mike guy? he's got an SE-R as well, so perhaps he wants another? but scott brings up a good point. i'd bring it to the autox with a for sale sign on it. - Scott - 03-07-2007 if you are looking to sell a track car, the best place to do it, is at the track - Dave - 03-08-2007 that would be great if I didn't have to work instead of autoX :-(. - Andy - 03-08-2007 I can't believe that's the same car. That paintjob looks great. - Scott - 03-08-2007 Dave Wrote:that would be great if I didn't have to work instead of autoX :-(.Drop it off the night before with a phone number on it |
