Today, I was meeting with a friend in Alexandria along with her sister, and her sister's ex. After a few minutes of talking, my friend said, "you know Jack, Rob (the ex) is into racing."
I said "racing what?"
He said, "now I'm driving a camaro and a mazda."
I said "mazda what?"
"RX-7"
After talking to him for a while, I found out he races SCCA and has won a national championship. He was very modest about it and it took a while to come out, but he was the 1999 Touring 2 nat'l champ. He is in love with RX7s (has had several) and told me to tell all you haters in MM that RX-7s are awesome cars. He has raced world challenge as well. His name is Rob Hines. Cool guy. The end of my story.

i saw "ran into" in the title and was expecting to see the rx all busted into the side of some car. glad to see it was just jackoliscious being the PR queen that he is.

What haters? I think RX-7's are great cars, especially the FD...until it blows up.

Same here Scotty. Some better wording could have been used.
I agree, RX-7s are really cool (especially when b00st is involved) as long as the motor is working. FDs look incredible, and the Turbo II ain't too bad. Not to mention that wicked exhaust note.
On a side note, the Wankel is an extremely cool idea.
