So I'm gonna be Boosted soon! - Ryan T - 01-16-2007 Just bought this. Got it for a good deal. All I need to buy is an intercooler and piping, oil feed/return line and a 38mm bov. If you have any of these parts, hit me up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As Adam just told me, "it's all down hill from here." - Goodspeed - 01-16-2007 Congrats man! turrrrbooooo!!!! - ViPER1313 - 01-16-2007 Welcome to the wonders of boost rot, squirrel mincers and all the good things turbos do  - Nis01 - 01-16-2007 WOOT for Supra boost! About damn time. Can't wait to see the finished product. - Ryan T - 01-16-2007 It might be close to summer before the kit is installed since I will need to buy an intercooler, intercooler piping, 38mm bov, oil feed/return line and gauges. I'll be payin for the kit till july, but at least I have the bulk of it.
- CaptainHenreh - 01-16-2007 About time. - ScottyB - 01-16-2007 nice find! what kind of power does your stock clutch/flywheel hold? - Mike - 01-16-2007 i don't know much about turbos, but that is big, no? - Ryan T - 01-16-2007 It's a PT61 turbo. The stock fuel setup will handle more than the stock clutch/flywheel will take. This kit should put down around 300whp and the stock clutch should last me a year or so on it. I'll be limited to 7psi because of compression and the fuel system. I'm not going to get a boost controller, because I KNOW I'd get boost happy, so I'm just going to let the wastegate spring do the work. - BLAIR - 01-16-2007 SWEEEEEEEEEEEET.. and i got all all the parts you need too.. FOR MY CAR HAHAHa - PDenbigh - 01-16-2007 Wow, I wish I could be boosted that easily. Oh wait, I already am! ;-) I kid, I kid. Looks great man! That will be a lot of fun! - ScottyB - 01-16-2007 forgot to ask this earlier Thayer -- and i'm not knocking the setup, just curious -- it looks like the primaries from the front and rear 3 cylinders flow directly into each other. is this a setup that works pretty well for the supras? i'm not a turbo genius either, but is this a situation where pressure is more important than flow anyway? - Ryan T - 01-16-2007 This kit has been widely used with lots of success. It was created by the owner of the worlds fastest na-t supra and I haven't really heard anything bad about it before. - BLAIR - 01-16-2007 i always wondered why they made the log-style/tubular manifold vs a nice tubular equal length deal but then again. boost makes up for anything - .RJ - 01-16-2007 BLAIR Wrote:i always wondered why they made the log-style/tubular manifold vs a nice tubular equal length deal Cheaper/easier to build. - JustinG - 01-16-2007 you mean you need a 38mm Wastegate right???? cause you have the BOV already, according to those pics. I got the 38mm tial here at the house, blue top, and 7psi spring, give it to you for pretty cheapo. - bassmangrammy - 01-16-2007 Ahh shit shit! Good call. - D_Eclipse9916 - 01-16-2007 ive got an oil feed line, and tons of AN lines, some and fittings too. Your gonna have to let me see this. - Ryan T - 01-16-2007 The bov in those pictures isn't included in the sale, it was just in the pictures. - Maengelito - 01-16-2007 awesome thayer, welcome to your demise. attn: dave, knock thayer out with a lead pipe and steal his snaily goodness. |
