ahh thats just a flesh wound

What pisses me off more than the dent is how it happened....

I was at the mall, pulled out of the parking spot waiting to leave, except some slut in a Snaab cut me off so I stopped to wait. This asshat was backing up to turn around, and was getting really close so I laid on the horn... he kept coming and *thud*. So I chased him down and of course "wha? I never saw you!" (no shit!). I got his insurance info and will be calling them tomorrow.

Fucking clueless NoVa drivers.

- BLINGMW - 05-27-2004

d'oh!

That looks like a "collect the $$ to fix the dent and spend it on tires instead" kind of dent.

Yeah. Why were you in the R at the mall? Sounds like a little dent is the least of what might happen to that car in a public parking garage/lot... Anyhow, dents suck. Despite parking out in the boonies whenever we go anywhere, the scooby has amassed quite a collection of scratches, scrapes, dents and dings Sad Not even a year old...

Seriously, tons of cars are stolen from Tysons; it's such an easy getaway for a theif with all the roads that interconnect there.

Bleh.

Just called his insurance office. They were pretty nice, and are sending all the info to their company and said that I should hear from them by tuesday.

- Evan - 05-28-2004

- .RJ - 06-10-2004

Finally got someone to come look at the car.

I heard nothing, and left 4 messages with the adjuster before I caught her @ 8am this morning. Supposedly they are going to pay for "refinishing" of the door panel and its about $400 in work. I'm going to get a 2nd estimate because the guy that came to look at my car appeared to be incompetent. The company (Hartford) hires independent damage estimators to go look at busted cars, take pics and write up an estimate) but this guy was a joke.

- Evan - 06-10-2004

you should take it to get an estimate from the place I took my WRX.
They are "hartford approved" so hartford wouldnt argue, and they have jacked up prices so the estimate would be pretty high.

- .RJ - 06-10-2004

Which shop was it?

- LorenaBeana - 06-10-2004

Um...did the "lunchbox" have dent-resistant doors? Maybe it's worth the mediocrity (ahem) to not have to deal with instances such as this.
