MM title animation for future videos - Yahosh - 12-14-2006
Hey guys. So I was only in MM for 1 semester and I've only posted on here like 5 times, but that doesn't mean I'm not a supporter. I came across Goodspeed's MM documentary (which, by the way is more a compilation than a documentary, I think you need interviews for that) which I thought was pretty cool. I also thought that since you guys are posting more and more videos on the web it would be cool if you had a universal intro for them. Branding is everything now days, right?
Anyway, I was bored and I need stuff for my portfolio so I made an intro animation for you guys to use. It's on Google videos right now:

If anyone wants to use it I'll burn an uncompressed version to a CD and mail it down to someone (Goodspeed? Thayer?) and you guys can share it cause I'm not trying to mail 15 copies if you catcha ma drift.
I also made a Logo (to use for the animation) which you guys can use if you want.

Josh thats really cool, I was thinking how cool it would be to have something like that, I'll be sure to use it in any future vids I make!
BTW, what program did you use to make that? I remember you told me you were going to work in video editing up in MD, how is that working out for you? Nice work!

I'm a Mac guy so I use Final Cut Studio for editing and I used Motion to make the animation. Sometimes I use After Effects, but Motion integrates with FCStudio so I usually stick with that. The sound effects were added in Soundtrack.
I've done some freelance stuff since gradumacation, but now I'm looking to get into a post house, which is why I'm trying to expand my portfolio.
The M is doing great Justin (especially since it's no longer getting door dinged in Hillside lot everyday). I got some HIDs and smoked corners since I was there, but otherwise it's the same. I see you got another DSM, rock on dude it looks good. Hopefully I'll be able to come down some time and hang out with everyone.
