No comments on the snow by anyone? geeze. I drove all the time in the snow for 4 winters in a row and have had one incident. Yeah Yeah, we all remember, dark night, snow, had no idea where I was, and *cough* Adam*cough* the place was completely wide open. Not....

Anyways do you guys drive your cars in the snow or no?

- WRXtranceformed - 12-08-2006

The STi still has snow tires on, so that should be fun to drive.

My IS has beat ass Ecstas on it, so I gotta get those switched out asap, or I'll be doriftoing all the way to work

i miss snow Cry

i used to take driving in the snow as a thrill and screw around alot until i made a bonehead move and totaled my first car. now i look forward to it when i can enjoy it but i'm alot more restrained.

Wuss. I drove the supra in completely snow covered roads tonight on the 245 and 275 Nitto 555r's. I will continue to do so most of the winter. I slid sideways pretty good tonight without any warning, if it had kicked back the other way I would have crashed. Luckily my 20mph drift turned out well, just steered lightly into it and maintained the same throttle and it came back in line.

Thats why I'm not driving my car

I'm in the "4WD YEEEEEE-HAW!" club with RJ, but I drove the 240 all winter one year, and only had trouble going up one particular unsalted, unscraped hill.

My 2WD S-10 was worse, as the auto tragic would kick down unexpectedly and give what little, pathetic torque that 2.2 could give directly to spinning the tires.

i love driving in the snow. I also loved my Blizzak's too Wink

snow driving is fun and everything (with good tires) but its the other dipshits on the road doing dumb shit that make it suck

- Mike - 12-08-2006

hatch owns the snow, but i don't like driving it to work.
s2000 doesn't move an inch in snow.

- white_2kgt - 12-08-2006

Expedition is ready to go and I already have chains and wheel weights on the lawnmower!

New Bridgstone Dueler AT Revo's on the F-150, begging for 18" of trouble

- .RJ - 12-08-2006

Pete, are those the same tires you had before? What kind of life did you get out of 'em?

- Ginger - 12-08-2006

Can we add an option? "Dumb guy that rides in the snow"

- PDenbigh - 12-08-2006

.RJ Wrote:Pete, are those the same tires you had before? What kind of life did you get out of 'em?

Yeah, I really like them. I get moderate life from them - for a knobby tire, that I drive really hard. I think the last set went 3about 30k? With better treatment I could see 50k.

They ride well, grip well in the dry, grip great in the rain, and have enough tread to go "places" in various "conditions."
