not to jack your thread but here's another mind boggling graphic-program artist. he uses photoshop exclusively IIRC. if you cruise through some galleries you can see he's also done some freaking sweet stuff for Bungie (halo, etc)

this type of digital art takes just as long if not a little longer due to having to switch and adjust brushes as well as colors and so forth.

i would say it is almost a little harder as you are not neccessarily staring at what you are drawing on in some cases. at my old job - my co-worker did this as a hobby - but he had like a tablet PC where he could just draw on the screen - not one of those pen pads.
