Tonight: The science of kicking ass (TV show) - G.Irish - 12-05-2006 Tonight at 8 pm and 11 pm there is going to be a show on National Geographic channel that takes a group of top level martial artists from around the world and measures the force, speed, balance, and skill they exhibit in practicing their arts. It's kinda hard to explain but watch the trailer on the site to get a better idea. http://www9.nationalgeographic.com/chan ... htscience/ Even if you've never been a martial artist this should be cool for you. - Maengelito - 12-05-2006 hey g, remember my roommate jason? he has been working on this show for a little while. its pretty cool cuz he's been sending me some clips from work so i've gotten a few sneak peaks - G.Irish - 12-05-2006 Whoa that is badass. How did he get that job? Got any stories about the show to share? I was thoroughly impressed with the show, they did a great job. I thought it was kinda weird having the Taekwondo guy showing off the katana since Taekwondo does not specifically use that weapon. I would've thought they could've gotten a Iaido or even Kendo artist for that segment. Still overall, very interesting and very well done. - WRXtranceformed - 12-06-2006 Damn, I wish I had seen it too ~ - Beej - 12-06-2006 Yeah. Maeng, tell your buddy that the show kicked ass. |
