MM - A Documentary Video - Goodspeed - 12-04-2006
Well here it is, finally...started this project way back when as something to do for fun, and to work on (hopefully) improving my skills at this whole digital video thing.

It's good, but the transitions are too long, and there's no overarching theme to any of the segments.
But it's better than 99.9% of the crap on CrapTube.

looks pretty good, glad to see some on track action!
I've got no issues with this video, but just keep in mind for the future we don't/can't have any street jackassery associated with MM. I'm not starting another hate thread, just putting out my concerns as a past President of MM.
keep em' coming, great way to look back on the history of MM.

I like it Goodspeed. Really hit some fun moments for the club. The karting and track event were definitely a great addition to the video. :thumbup: I look forward to the videos to come.

I hate to be the one to do this too, and its not to put out hate but we do need to worry about our presentation of fucking around on the street.
Awesome video, maybe we can do a synonymous name for our videos that have street jackassery, and to make sure to make the MM not too visible.

transitions were a little long and i'd like to see some different angles or film speed...but i def. enjoyed it. its way better than most of us can do and you've made something really cool :thumbup:

Thanks for the compliments everyone, I appreciate it. Like I said this was just a fun project that I started at the beginning of the semester, collecting as much footage as I could to put something together...I didn't really have a focus, just some highlights of the semester...that might help explain the lack of transitions (I thought that myself). I'd like to do more focused vids on specific members/events in the future

well done. a little too much down time in the transitions, though. if you'd like to send me the original version i can encode it in to something prettier and not-so-big.

Pretty well done. Some of the rolling shots came out really well and
I would also make the transitions much shorter, using straight cutovers in several places. Also I would probably cut down on the stationary shots. For track shots a good place to get video is at the end of the longer straightaways or where cars crest a hill. The chute at SP would be a good place or the top of the roller coaster at VIR.
Did you take the karting footage with your point and shoot digital camera? If so it looked great.
