Not a VW guy, but from a high level it looks like a great way to get into the sport. You would be HARD pressed to build anything remotely close for 1/2 this price.

Use it for a couple of seasons and then sell it at zero or little loss.

Is it even legal for GTS, with the seam welded body and modified shock towers?

Once you start relocating suspension points in a production car, the rules get very ugy.
