the company upstairs had a large deal - Mike - 11-28-2006 so one of the nerdy balding 45 year old guys arrived in one of these: damn, i'm jealous. i'll hopefully get some pics tomorrow. - G.Irish - 11-28-2006 Hmm, wonder how he got that thing street legal over here... - BLINGMW - 11-28-2006 maybe he can afford a few tickets a week? - Mike - 11-28-2006 huh? they're legal here now. - G.Irish - 11-28-2006 S1 Elise/Exige never was legalized for the USDM. The one we get is the S2. But maybe he just went to DMV and put Exige on the form and since we do get an Exige now he got away with it. - Mike - 11-28-2006 that isn't an actual pic. - G.Irish - 11-28-2006 Ahhhh, didn't catch that. I mean, people driving grey market cars or bikes is almost unpossible round here. - Apoc - 11-28-2006 Any hope he'd actually track the thing or did he buy it just to look pretty in what's a fairly silly daily driver? You know if he paid the extra $1300 for carpet and sound deadening? - .RJ - 11-28-2006 You can get a low mile used Elise for mid $30k's.... Thats your next car Chris You have a 4 mile commute and the wife has a wagon, so why not go unpractical?
- Mike - 11-28-2006 it has some tiny little floormats, which i don't think constitute "carpet." i told caitlin i'd buy her a big ring if she bought me one... her: wouldn't you rather have a house? me: i can live in a car. her: i can't. me: it has two seats. her: where would i keep my things? me: in the... trunk...
- Maengelito - 11-28-2006 Mike Wrote:me: i can live in a car. you can be like that douchebag in that nissan commercial that lives in his sentra for 7 days - BLINGMW - 11-28-2006 you'd definatly top that fool if you pulled it off in an elise. That would be miserable :vomit: .RJ Wrote:You can get a low mile used Elise for mid $30k's.... re-he-eally..... - .RJ - 11-28-2006 Mike Wrote:i told caitlin i'd buy her a big ring So who wants to take bets on when mikey will buy her a big ring? - Apoc - 11-28-2006 .RJ Wrote:Mike Wrote:i told caitlin i'd buy her a big ring There were so many things in that conversation to make fun of I've just decided to move on. I can, however, confirm that Mike still exists and it's not just some bot typing his responses as we had a lunch date yesterday. - .RJ - 11-28-2006 Apoc Wrote:I can, however, confirm that Mike still exists and it's not just some bot typing his responses I saw mikey for the first time in 3 or 4 months on saturday when he picked up my seat mount. Unpossible. - Evan - 11-28-2006 The tragic thing about that car is that body/frame work is so prohibitively expensive that if I could afford to track one, Id already be tracking a Ferrari. Absolutely lustful car though, I want one more than any other car (despite Lotus royally fucking up the re-design and putting a shitty motor in it) - CaptainHenreh - 11-28-2006 Apoc Wrote:.RJ Wrote:Mike Wrote:i told caitlin i'd buy her a big ring You sure it isn't a robutt? Also, an exige is nothing. There's a guy here who just bought one of these: ![]() I guess his M5 wasn't fast enough, and his 911 wasn't enough of a pussy magnet. Not that I begrudge him nice things, but if you'd meet him, you'd truly understand that There is No Justice in the Universe. I saw it in the parking lot and said to myself "Please don't let it be his. Anyone but him!" But, sadly, it was: The Fecalante's Ferrari. - G.Irish - 11-28-2006 Evan Wrote:The tragic thing about that car is that body/frame work is so prohibitively expensive that if I could afford to track one, Id already be tracking a Ferrari. Absolutely lustful car though, I want one more than any other car (despite Lotus royally fucking up the re-design and putting a shitty motor in it) Really expensive? Why, you know someone who's wadded one up? Can't be as expensive as the $16000 hydraulic pump for a 360's F1 tranny or the $40k for a 360 Challenge engine... I agree on the Elise's engine but at least the Toyota plant is better than the Rover K *bleh* Rex Wrote:But, sadly, it was: The Fecalante's Ferrari.OMG not that guy! - BLINGMW - 11-28-2006 G.Irish Wrote:but at least the Toyota plant is better than the Rover K yeah really, what's wrong with the Toyota engine Evan? Seems like a good choice to me. :dunno: - .RJ - 11-28-2006 He wants to say the Honda engine would be a better choice but he just cant find the right words
