okay, now thats pretty badass

Suspension mounts in single shear make baby jesus cry.

That thing is kinda neat, but appears to be an engineering disaster and the 'frame' looks like a wet noodle. I hope its safe...

Some other cool 'build your own car' sites -

I prefer La Bala

very cool car, definately took a lot of metalworking skill to build that.

Im not really convinced it belongs anywhere near a racetrack, but it definately looks good Smile

- WRXtranceformed - 11-02-2006

Man, that would be the equivalent of building your own coffin. lol!

Pretty cool looking coffin though. That wing puts all of us to shame!!

Not anywhere close to one.

damnit i need to learn metalworking.

- Sijray21 - 11-02-2006

wow...that's awesome!

- WRXtranceformed - 11-02-2006

On the topic of custom cars, this one is pretty cool. I saw this on a TV show about the Autobahn. This German guy created this car himself specifically for driving on that series of roads... I think I remember him saying it cost him well over a million dollars to build. It's capable of 400km/hr.

Sorry, the website is all in German, but you can see pics of it at least.

Wow lol think that thing sounds mean??

Wow, I can only imagine how much time it took to do that. I wonder how fast it is?

Maybe St. Peter will tell you how fast you were going when you arrive at the Pearly Gates.

He'll be all like "You know how fast you were goin' boy?!?"

- Jeff - 11-02-2006

If thats the only issue he and I have...I'd be down for that.

Awesome read, very interesting.

Anyone know what wheels these are? I couldn't find them in the thread
[Image: McBearen_213_web_.jpg]

- Ryan T - 11-02-2006

Look like the Saleen S7 wheels to me.

- Ginger - 11-02-2006

Would you guys mind explaining to me what your safety concerns are with it? I can see several things that I don't think are safe at all from a basic standpoint... but what about like what RJ said, what's a single shear suspension mount versus a safer, method of design (heck what's it even look like it to know it when I see it)?

I'm not saying it's safe, more, I'm asking what's unsafe of it from any angle, and why, so I can learn.

- Mike - 11-02-2006

you're in luck! yours truly just happens to be the wheel and tire moderator on honda-tech!

they look like mb motoring weapon wheels
