MIR This Friday - Printable Version +- Madison Motorsports (https://forum.mmsports.org) +-- Forum: Madison Motorsports (https://forum.mmsports.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=3) +--- Forum: Events (https://forum.mmsports.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=7) +--- Thread: MIR This Friday (/showthread.php?tid=494) |
MIR This Friday - KPWSerpiente - 05-23-2004 If everything goes right tomorrow with the clutch/flywheel install, I will then proceed to break it in this week so as to be ready to hit the track friday night. So if anyone wants to visit a dragstrip I will be at Maryland International Raceway for midnight madness. Gates open at 6, goes very late. 15 bucks to run your car. If Evan shows up I will pay for him. Anyone else, you are on your own but respond to this thread and you can meet up with us if you want to caravan down. -T - Mike - 05-23-2004 I'm going away this weekend and I don't know what time I'm leaving Saturday morning. If it turns out to be within reason I'll go. Re: MIR This Friday - Evan - 05-23-2004 KPWSerpiente Wrote:If Evan shows up I will pay for him.w00t! 18 second passes y0!
- G.Irish - 05-23-2004 Hmm, maybe I should practice launching for standing starts with Geeser II. - Feersty - 05-23-2004 No cost for spectating I assume? - .RJ - 05-23-2004 Run the buick! - KPWSerpiente - 05-23-2004 Sorry, spectators must pay as well. I believe it is 10 if you park your car inside the track, maybe 5 if you park right outside? I don't spectate so I don't know. I can check it out a little later. Problem right now is we spent 11am to 4pm in the process of dropping the tranny. It is a little different than 1st gens which we have done many a time. I admit to not having a fucking clue when it comes to transaxles. Cleanup at the hobbyshop at quantico was 4:30, so in that last half hour the transmission finally dropped, clutch and flywheel came off (I love air tools) and ACT replacements went on. Car will be back together on wed because, and I hope god knows why, the hobbyshop is closed mon and tuesday. So that wouldn't leave me a lot of time to break the clutch in, BUT I really want to get a faster timeslip in for the Capitol Area DSM GT7 meet so I can submit it for fastest fwd. Fastest last year was 15.4 (someone's stock time...no one told me this category is neglected, otherwise I would have won with a 15.3!). So, I won't know if I'm running really until Thurs. -T - white_2kgt - 05-24-2004 I'll be at Capitol, MIR is WAY to busy. -c - LorenaBeana - 05-24-2004 I'm down for going to MIR. Just tell me where and when. I was going to post something to see if anyone wanted to go over the summer. I BELIEVE it's $7 to spectate. Ummm....but <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.mirdrag.com">www.mirdrag.com</a><!-- w --> (I think) should have it. Wow...you know you're a gearhead when you have the websites for local tracks memorized. And no, I shant be demoing the celica...I'm trying to keep it alive until September when something bigger and badder comes along. Also, I've never been to Capital, so if anyone wants to venture out there sometime, I'll go. - G.Irish - 05-24-2004 white_2kgt Wrote:I'll be at Capitol, MIR is WAY to busy. Where is Capitol and what is going on there on Friday? - white_2kgt - 05-24-2004 G.Irish Wrote:white_2kgt Wrote:I'll be at Capitol, MIR is WAY to busy. Chili can help drop some weight... lol, make sure there's a port-a-potty close by - KPWSerpiente - 05-25-2004 I have never been to Capitol but I know MIR is considered a superior track. Still not sure if I'm making it out to run. We'll see. -T - BLINGMW - 05-26-2004 damn, too bad it's not sat or sun, I'm headed up to VA this weekend! - .RJ - 05-26-2004 BLINGMW Wrote:damn, too bad it's not sat or sun, I'm headed up to VA this weekend! Where? :Fire: |
