Anyone have a free room for next year? - Goodspeed - 10-17-2006 So the time is coming to start looking at off campus living (i'm a sophomore this year living in Wayland). Any local MM'ers have a roommate leaving or a spot that needs filling for next year? I have a few prospects with different people and places but it would be awesome to live with other MM'ers, so let me know 8) - HAULN-SS - 10-17-2006 I am graduating in december, looking for someone to take my room in my townhouse, if that's what you mean. - Goodspeed - 10-17-2006 HAULN-SS Wrote:I am graduating in december, looking for someone to take my room in my townhouse, if that's what you mean. Sorry, I mean next academic year...i'll stay in this dorm through May then move off for my junior year...thanks though - karmapolice - 10-17-2006 I'm looking for 1 more person @ Sunchase probably. I'm not entierly sure sunchase though, and I'm not a full MM'er yet. Just throwing it out. - Goodspeed - 10-18-2006 karmapolice Wrote:I'm looking for 1 more person @ Sunchase probably. Thanks man, I'll keep that in mind. What other places are you looking at? Who else are you getting the place with? Townhouses like P-run and Squire Hill are on the top of my list, but I'm pretty flexible about all of it. Anyone else? - BLAIR - 10-18-2006 my roomate paul is also looking.. he will be at JMU next year and all of us now are done.. he also comes with car knowledge- cool cars (yes plural) keggorator, big ass tv.. and he is a cool ass chill guy.. - D_Eclipse9916 - 10-18-2006 Yeah ill be lookign for some car guys to live with next year, looking for specifically car guys to deal with some of my bullshit grease smells and car parts everywhere (like my three sets of rims/tires in the living room). I dont want to room with my friends that arent car guys because I get enough bitching from my girlfriend about them. So im looking for roommates too....if anyone is interested. - .RJ - 10-18-2006 D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:looking for specifically car guys to deal with some of my bullshit grease smells and car parts everywhere (like my three sets of rims/tires in the living room) Because the only thing better than 3 sets of tires in the living room, is 12 sets.... - Goodspeed - 10-18-2006 Blair, is Paul planning on staying in your Ashby apt.? DJ, where do you want to live..any communities in particular? Perhaps us MM'ers (and friends) can work something out together - Nis01 - 10-18-2006 If guys want to live in Sunchase Annex, our apartment will be opening up cause we are all moving out. Just another option... - BLAIR - 10-19-2006 pauls want to leave ashby - BLAIR - 10-19-2006 you guys should live in forrest hills-fox hills- somewhere like that.. i wish i did - D_Eclipse9916 - 10-19-2006 yeah im thinking fox hills.... - Goodspeed - 10-19-2006 D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:yeah im thinking fox hills.... Blair tells me his roommate Paul is thinking the same, so if you want to look into it further I'm up for it. Just to get the details straight, its 345-355/mo individual rent, 4 people, no pets, furnished, no utilities etc. - Ryan T - 10-19-2006 psssh, that's outrageous! Keep your eyes out for a house, that's def. the way to go. My house is bigger than any townhome I've been in and I'm payin $212/month. - .RJ - 10-19-2006 I remember when I thought anything over $300/mo was outrageous for rent..... *sigh* - Goodspeed - 10-19-2006 Ryan T Wrote:psssh, that's outrageous! Anywhere in particular I should look? I'd imagine houses like yours are in short supply (at least, the non ghetto ones), they might be all accounted for by now. - Feersty - 10-19-2006 I lived in the Commons for two years and it wasn't bad, but looking back on it, it was a shithole, and sure glad I didn't have a car that drew people's attention. You want to be close to the parties, but you want to be far enough away that there ain't shit everywhere outside on Saturday and Sunday morning. - Goodspeed - 10-19-2006 Feersty Wrote:You want to be close to the parties, but you want to be far enough away that there ain't shit everywhere outside on Saturday and Sunday morning. Not really...I mean I wouldn't mind it but thats not my top priority (hence P-run being my number one). I just want a clean, relatively quiet townhouse community. - Ryan T - 10-19-2006 we found our house advertised in the breeze, but keep your eyes out in the daily news record, you can find them in there too. |
