NASA Mid-Atlantic Auto-x [Oct. 1] - Nis01 - 09-13-2006
This Auto-x / Drivewise school was mentioned earlier and I figured we could get a thread going on whos going to participate. I live in Richmond so I believe I will be heading down for this. Might mean no partying after the Car Show but this should be a blast. If I'm the only one going I might not make it out but I'd like to get out there.

There are exactly 7 spots left, all in the 4th heat, and registration closes this Sunday night.
Also... sorry but no stopping by and spectating... it's a closed/private event & names must be on the guest list to get in (i.e. you must be invited by a driver or official in advance.)

Keep in mind though, we do the half-day deal... you wouldn't even need to be there for the second reg/tech/walk/meeting until noonish.

Nope. That's way too hard. 81 south to Lexington. 64 west to 77 south. 77 south to exit 9 in Princeton. Right turn off the exit onto 460/19. Go about 8 miles to Rte 123 and make a right and follow the signs to the airport. It takes me just a tick over three hours from Stuarts Draft.
Alternately you can take 81 to exit 118 and then then take 460 through Blacksburg and on into Mercer County to the airport. This way can be about 15 minutes faster , but you are at the mercy of the truck traffic on 81. I would not suggest this way coming home from the event on Sunday night.
The site at Mercer is large and lends itself to open fast courses.

What I am going to be doing is enjoying the car show and dyno day, then heading down to Radford, partying/sleeping there (if anyone needs to stay there with me, let me know and ill find room) and then doing the 30 minute trek to the airport, autocross, go back to radford for dinner and then head home.
