Just letting everybody know, anybody on here with CB or friends with them, I have equipment to tune for antenna length so let me know! and can help get the most out of your CB setup

All CB antennas should be tuned to car its on, also can show you how many watts ur pushing

I do but it is already tuned for a good SWR and 4watts is the legal max (but you know that) :-)

I do as well, I had mine tuned years ago for the lower channels.

Well, when I got it tuned the guy said he could set it up so one side could have more power than the other, for instance, 1-20 might put out 6 watts and 21-40 would do the same, or I could set it up so 1-20 would put out 8 watts and 21-40 would do 4. Instead of having 40 channels that put out the same power I had him set it up so the lower channels would put out more than the upper ones. Make sense?

yeah, sort of but unless you have a modified radio or an amplifier, the radio output is 4 watts. what the tuning does is match the electrical length of the antenna to the TX wavelength. The antenna is not 100% efficient so some of the TX power is reflected back to the radio effectively cancelling some of the power of the transmission. The closer to 1:1 SWR you can match the ant on a given freq. the more of the output power will actually make it out of the antenna.

On the contrary actually most radios stock do swing to 6-10watts instead of rated 4watts.

Also I wouldnt tune to bottom end unless your SWRs wont get very low if they can no gain from doing it that way just loss on the upper end!

Also I definitely have modded radio that and i got a footwarmer!!! and it can crank
